Having dispatched this line until the D&H stopped running, and having ridden it many times over the years, it was great to ride over a portion of it again. It was a great ride, the staff was over the top. The ride is just right for families with children, short enough to hold the interest of the kiddos. Hal has done a magnificent job with this. What a great time! Conductor Hal’s passion and knowledge made us love the trip so much more. He took the time to say high to our small group, and paid all 3 kids attention and just filled them with excitement. The crew was like a family, and so friendly and nice. It was also great that we could bring a small cooler and snacks aboard! Hope to come back for a fall or winter ride!

Yes, it’s best if you have a reservation. We will sell tickets at the train provided we have room. Booking online sends all the information to you and allows us to contact you for any cancellations or changes.
You are free to walk about all open cars. The open top car, coach, and First class are open to walk in.
