We stayed for 3 nights in site #11. There is a slope with stairs so if this is a problem make sure to ask. All the campsites were beautiful! No cell phone reception unless you are at the top of the hill. Bathrooms are kept immaculate set up with showers and the dump station has 2 pull throough sites. Only draw back to the state park is no lake access unless you hike down or boat launch about 2 miles away. They have play grounds and grass. Right next door is a yatesville campground that is run by the county of Lawrence. They have mini golf and a country store with cabins to rent as well as tent and rv camping. You can hike down to their swim area which has a beautiful sandy beach and lifeguard on duty. If you camp at the Lawrence county campground it is free to use day/swim area. We drove over and paid $1 per person or I believe it's $5 per carload. Had a great experience and relaxing time.

Worst camping experience ever, will never be back. I have camped for many years and many states. I have never once have had issues with any park and any state. I have actually camped within Kentucky parks too. I will never return to yatesville ever, worst campground ever. We arrived over Memorial Day weekend, had a hike in site, asked where to go, was directed by the camp in host/ maintenance where to park to unload/load. It was fine Friday. Or, so we thought!!! We unloaded, got our tents up, etc! We did not plan on staying at the campgrounds all weekend, only to sleep! So, we leave Saturday morning and get back Saturday evening and have a paper with the rules at our site with things circled. We thoughts it was strange, considering we were gone all day Saturday, so that was confusing. Another issue we had when it was time to leave we got blocked in by boaters taking up the “loading” area as we were told To park there to load, my vehicle was threatened to be towed and then the worked almost hit myself, my dog and my children! So I will not only report them, will be seeking legal action for harassment as he followed close down the path while I was carrying all my baggage harassing my family, my camping gear. I will never return! The communication was zero on rules and information!

There are sites with water and a 110/120 watt hookup. Extension cord and at least a short water hose are helpful.

For the hike in tent sites it would be tight but you could do 2 small tents. We use the camper sites for our big tent and have enough room for a small tent and a 10x10 awning over the picnic table. Hope that helps.

They have boats for rent. Pontoon not sure but they may have them to rent. I know they have luxery cruisers and kayaks. I would call them find out
