Amazing are for a getaway in Portland. This is a beautiful coastal area on the beach. This has some amazing views and sand.the air is clean easy to breathe. I will visit again. I recommend this place.

Incredibly engaging part of the Oregon coast for friends and family. Spend the day exploring the cape trails and giant sand dune. Lots of tide pools to examine as well.

This is a beautiful area! It is much different than California coastlines, where I am from. The coolness and trees, snow nearby...it is beautiful here!

Awesome State Natural Area and Park in Pacific City, Oregon giving great views of the preserved area and the ocean. Unfortunately it was rainy and misty and a storm was coming which made me quickly return to my hotel room. The short hike up the sand dune to the lookout was pretty cool.

Dogs are always allowed, but keep them on a leash. If you are surfing, if you're not taking your dog out on the board with you, leave it at home. The people that leave their dogs unleashed are at risk for a lot of issues, legal and not legal...
Haystack rock
Oliver is correct. You can drive onto the beach, but pay attention to the areas you can drive onto and where you can park.
You may want to reach out directly to the actual Oregon State Parks regarding this and not Google maps. The answers from the public will not always be accurate. However, my dad was one of the first Oregon State Parks Beach Rangers, and they never bothered him and he didn't write tickets for it (couldn't tell you if he was wrong or right for that, hence my suggestion to contact the Parks directly)... except when someone walked away from it... that's a big no-no. You must smother your fire out, make sure it is completely out, no smoke or smoldering left, literally OUT. No ifs, ands or buts. The minute you think you're going to walk away, put it completely out... if you do not, then you are subject to being ticketed by Oregon State Parks and Police.
I just saw some whales! Off the coast about 1/2 mile. In july
Not right there, but 4 miles N, there are wonderful big area to do do....Sand Lake
of course the parking lot is very close to the beach, and has parking for people with disabilities.
I was there just a 3 days ago. It was very cold despite being sunny. The breeze was strong.
They are all named haystack rock. However, since I'm not the biggest fan of Cannon Beach, this rock is by far my favorite.
Thousand trails, Sand lake campground, other private "campgrounds" in cape kiwanda
Yeah, we rented one when we were there. Book early though because they sell quickly. I think we booked 9 months in advance.
