I like these kinds of places that overlook inlets by the ocean, and the Barnegat Light end has always been a nice place to stop. This 2022 season the famous lighthouse will be covered in a maintenance wrapper and can't be climbed, but otherwise the park will be open. It's also a good area to drop a line in the water and test your luck/skill. My recent visit was right before the seasonal summer schedule starts. So there weren't many other people around.

Always a beautiful place to go kids love going. But the Lighthouse is being renovated at this time. You can't go in it until October. But the surrounding area beautiful relaxing and its great for photography.

Pretty neat place to check out, lighthouse is being restored. Climb to the top for a fantastic view once it's reopened. Wear shoes that don't slip easily, not worth eating it up or down the stairs or on the rocks.

Super cool lighthouse to visit. Beautiful view of the ocean. This place is great for sightseeing, relaxing, & fishing (you can get on the rocks at your own risk!) I highly recommend coming here. You can climb the lighthouse as well, masks are required.

No. The lighthouse itself is not open to the public but the Park is open to the public.
There is not a thousand steps, there are 217 - yes, all around the lighthouse is wheelchair accessible
In August 2021, the signs said no dogs permitted on the beach, but they can be in the park if leashed.
You can't climb into that part but you can look up into it
You are not allowed to take your dog on the beach or jetty when the different coastal migratory bird's are mating nesting or otherwise! Some of these birds fly thousands of miles to mate here like the purple sandpiper and are utterly defenseless because of their great journey!
Opened today must where a mask inside lighthouse

No, it is not possible to stay at beach. But there are several motels near by.
Besides checking out the sites from the Lighthouse, picnicking and fishing are quite common.
I'm sorry, I don't know.
No there are set hours. Unless there is a special event.
There is no tent camping available on LBI at all, unless it is an organized scout type function. Sorry
Were you wearing your glasses? I might have been Big Foot...
