Not a kid friendly place well maybe it was just the lady attending today. I came in a few moments into looking around my 6 year old had to use the restroom I asked and the lady said no to a 6 year old. I was ok so i took her to the nearest store. Came back and was shopping and I heard her say something to my kids 12 and 6 year old I did not hear but i was ok maybe i didn't see what they where doing later my children where sitting in a couch while i was shopping and I jeard the lady say “IT IS A WHITE COUCH!!! At this point i was furious and said you are very rude!!! Dropped my basket with things I intended to buy on the couch and left. The couch was white but her soul is Dark! I will pray for her. And i will not be coming back or donating my unwanted items.

The BRIDGE ??? Has It's Own Address Numbers ? but not It's Own driveway on a different street ?seems The Bridge needs to move the Two " DO NOT ENTER " signs so it would then have it's own driveway too as the neighborhood centers One Way Drive is just to much for Us who are elderly and are in need of seeing some New changes. My ol man Michael brought this up today to a neighborhood center associate and was Threatened with trespass for a year. The Bridge ??? Hasn't got it's own driveway but yet it's on a different street than the neighborhood center. They need to move the Two " DO NOT ENTER " Signs in towards the neighborhood center's exit so as to allow Us who needs assistance from The Bridge Don't have to Wait out on a Busy Hwy 17/92 going into the worthless neighborhood center.

Personally i would contact them first. I do know thry have homes on the property thst house people. So maybe they can give a home cooked meal to one of the houses. Thsts VERY kind of you. Im sure thry can use it.
We cannot accept pets at the shelters but some of the landlords we work with through the Rapid Rehousing program do allow pets. It is up to the individual landlords.

No not without permission and a proof of travel I currently stay here and I even have a hard time leaving for half a day because the staff here are nosey and like to be up everyones butts

They take all donations I've seen moldy bread in storage I've seen meats in plastic freezer burnt and they still give it out this place gives out expired foods

Monday - Thursday I believe. 9-4. D/L required and fill out the form. They will give you a number to call out. Best to bring your bags. And be prepared to wait and wait and wait.
Yes they do help pay electric bills and rent. Only if they have money come in. They run out in other words.
They did have an apt for rent sign out recently, call there is the best choice. They do have homes behind the building that are renting out. Good luck 👍
Glad you asked. Just this morning I was looking for a place to donate my dad's clothing and other items. He always donated contribution's to the American Veterans. So I searched the interview for such places and found several drop off locations as well they offer pick up service. You can find a location near you by searching. Also the organization for battered women and their families. From what I understand, the organization goes by another name which I'm not sure of. But I'm sure you can find the correct name in a search. I do not recommend Goodwill only because they only sell items for their profit and do not "donate". Try calling the "Neighborhood Center" in DeLand. They may be able to direct you. Lastly try contacting "Habit of Humanity" also in DeLand. A very good organization for ANY donations. This is a non-profit organization. I personally donate my items there. As well I've made many purchases from them. Proceeds go directly to the rebuilds of new homes for those who apply.

I'd probably call first. They get their donations in bulk from local supermarkets. Not sure if they accept individual donations.
Show up every evening at 6 or so. It WILL GET you in faster. I know people that got in just that way!! I take a meeting to the center every Friday night at 7. I will meet you once you are in!
There are many in search of jobs there.. So stop by and speak to staff.
