This is an amazing place to experience the nature of Central Florida. The first campsite will surround you with saw palmettos beautiful oak and palms giving you the feeling of being in the jungle the second campsite is awesome for groups has a table the fire pit is even set into pebbles that make noise as you walk around keeps animals away and keeps the forest safe from fire. The third campsite is on the Florida trail like the first and offer sprawling oak trees and plenty of space. You can enjoy a beautiful night under the Stars after a really rewarding hike should you need to leave early the gate has an automatic exit.

Went camping in early November and we really enjoyed it! Campsite was well kept and it had a lot of trees surrounding it so felt secluded. It was difficult to find the campsite at first so make sure to go through the trail, not the forest road. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful conservation area with a strong and diverse fungal ecosystem. This is a excellent place to day hike and study fungi.

Visited the park with the goal of completing the loop that is just over 8 miles. The Florida Trail portion is very well marked. The White Trail towards to the connector trail to complete the loop wasn't marked as well. Definitely bring a GPS and compass as a backup if this is your first time on this trail.

Not at this time. Turkey seasons starts soon. But there are surrounding farms that hunt and shoot all the time around the management area. Plus people hunt the river also .

Are there any rv parks near?
