Ignore the hours posted online AND on the sign outside. TWICE I've arrived more than 15 minutes before closing and been told that the "register isn't working so we're closing early." They lost my purchases because I needed to go elsewhere.

I usually go to East Greenbush store when it is garden time, but Glenmont is the best store if you have some kids who running around excited by bows and bells and Christmas. They have lovely wreaths and a great selection of decorations. Be careful about Google maps directions! It always directs me to the sidewalk at the back of the store, not the parking lot! Ignore Google Maps and be sure to stay on Fuera Bush Road.

This is a smaller Hewett's with smaller selection than most locations. It looks like the plants had been sitting out, overgrown, unhealthy looking, and were clearly overpriced. I've stopped in here a few times this year and it was a bad experience every time, the young staff are polite but completely disinterested and the owner a tanned middle aged gentlemen is downright nasty even to simple questions like where you can find something in his store. Was also incredibly nasty to an older women while I waited in line who politely asked some questions about planting. Plants I bought here didn't do well, specifically the bulb bags were half dead. I've lived in the area for years and avoided this place due to bad experiences, this year was no exception. I will not being going back again.

We have just moved to Delmar, NY and noticed this garden center. So we stopped in and purchased some flowers. Trying to pay for them was a real downer! There were four young people there unloading a delivery and it's wasn't till we had to stop a young man that we were recognized as to waiting to pay. He had to call the young lady TWICE at 3:50 PM, before she came over to check us out. It seems there is a real lack of training, when talking to your fellow employee buds is more important than taking care of a customer!
