I came to urgent care today because I had symptoms consistent with those of strep. The girls at the front desk and nurse taking my vitals were very kind, but that is the only positive thing I have to say about this experience. After I was shown to my room, I waited an hour until the nurse practitioner came in, and they didn’t appear to be busy. She was probably in the room for less than 30 seconds, did not look at my throat and just swabbed it without a warning. When she came back with a negative result she told me I could go home and take a covid test and didn’t offer to perform any other tests or look at my tonsils. After my sister confronted her for not providing proper care she listened to my heart and looked in my ears. I’m no doctor but the least she could have done was look at my throat and then maybe she would have realized that i needed antibiotics.

My experience was great here! They got me right in and out without making me feel rushed. Provider listened and truly cared about my concerns. Got some meds to help my concerns and was on my way! I'd recommend coming here!!

They have to be scheduled
When we went a few weeks ago on a Friday we had results by Sunday. Don't know if that's typical.
You don't need a script to go to urgent care. How much a visit costs depends on your insurance and what your visit entails.
