You can hike all the way to the Charles H. Bronson WMA and the Florida Trail from here. Pretty great hike, and plenty of places to camp by the Econlockhatchee river.

Everything you want in a quiet Florida trail. Warm, but not overly buggy. At least not in May.

Parking here is easy and won’t allow for crowds! From this trailhead you can access the 2 trails, see a tiny waterfall in Central Florida, and continue on the Florida Trail to the Econlockhatchee River if you desire. There are excellent bike trail riding areas as well!

Love this beautiful trail. It’s fairly quiet. If you walk for about 15 minuets you’ll see a waterfall that’s pretty.

Questions & Answers

Is there public parking at or near this trailhead?

Yes, there is a designated, marked parking area. Additionally you can park on the very wide shoulder of the road, many people park there with no issue in order to access the trail.

Does anyone know if there are any locations that allow you to ride bicycles or dirt bikes on this trail? Or is it strictly hiking traffic only? Thank you

I have not seen any locations for bicycles on this trail. Check out Soldier's Creek and Seminole trail. There is a bike path.

Is this trail great for biking? Also, how many miles is the trail? Thank You

The part of the Little Big Econ Forest that is accessible from this Trailhead is for hiking purposes with signs posted to that effect. Another part of the forest is intended for biking and can be accessed from the Jones East Trailhead off of Snow Hill Road. There are several biking trails there of varying difficulties, not sure of the mileage but the trails are popular.

Will this place be closed Friday or Saturday, if so please let me know what hours they will be open.

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There's no one there, it's just a trailhead
