Good camping experience. Came to escape the hustle and bustle but it's our first real camping trip this year, and kind of forgot how much work it is. The park is nice, crowded but nice. The bathrooms all smell terrible like old urine. There's a lot of cars driving the loops all the time. Lots of kids riding bikes and having fun. The beach was cold, windy and deserted.

The BEST place that we stayed during our RV road trip! I wish we stayed the entire week, but only did 2 nights. Such a fantastic area to be in! The RV site was beautiful and spacious, a short walk to the beach access, there's a playground for the kiddos, we saw so many deer... Just a wonderful experience. We will DEFINITELY be back for a longer vacation!

I stayed at E-05 RV campsite. Area is much bigger than I expected. electricity & water supply is avail. Grey water disposed specific locations are available. Toilet & shower rooms are clean. State Park Ranger at the check-in booth was really nice. π At Nehalem Bay, we could do clamming as long as we have shell hunting annual license at Oregon Department. We can hunt gapers, purple Vanish clams etc. Garden shovel or hand digging is suffice

Stayed in Site B4 with a teardrop trailer and two cars; plenty of space for all three. Site does have room for a tent as well. Site came with firepit, picnic table, electric, and water. Site was clean upon arrival. Bathrooms were clean and fully stocked with toilet paper/paper towels. Hot showers available with strong water pressure. Sink water disposal site nearby to B4. If you have kids, this is the site for you as the playground is right next to it for easy access. Plenty of biking and walking/hiking trails. Centralized recycling and garbage area. State park also as beach access a short drive away. Stay was Fri to Sun and was booked thru ReserveAmerican for $86. Bundle of wood is $5.

Yes
There are both, but may be booked already. Spring Break usually fills the park.
Yes. You can check Oregon State Park online
Campfires are OK now that we have rain. They allowed them as of Thursday.
It appears it's open for the season.. and it's beautiful today!
I haven't seen any park closures as of yet.
If you go on Reserve America it says "this sure is at a 90 degree angle. It is only suitable for trailers 16' long or motorhomes under 24' long." While most 24' spots will accommodate an RV longer than the started length, this has to do with the space available to pull or back in.
No, there are no mtb trails in the immediate area.
It was $19/night for the tent sites without water and electric and $31 for the sites with both. I HIGHLY recommend reserving online. We stayed on a Thursday night and I reserved a week ahead and there was only one site in the whole campground available. It's an additional $8 to reserve online, but worth it.
Just Google Nehalem Bay and go to The reserve America site
All day. Long as there isnt any wash outs or hazards. Enjoy.
I have seen several razor clam shells along the Nehalem Bay spit, which leads me to believe that there ARE razor clams present. That being said however, I have never been on that beach during a tide low enough to dig for razor clams. Almost all of the razor clams harvested in Oregon are taken in Clatsop County, from the beach which runs from Seaside to the Columbia River.
Manzanita is less than 2 miles from Campground. On one side there is the ocean a short ride East is the bay. It is a great place to ride bicycles. There are normal campgrounds and a backpacking / biking Campground. One of my favorite places to camp
It depends what you're camping in. Varies...but its very affordable. The rates are located on their website.
I don't know. We had full cell coverage on sprint so didn't need it.
Go to reserveamerica.com and look up that location and there will be a map.
No. Contacting the Oregon Parks and Recreation is your best bet when inquiring about specifics related to beach access. There are however many places along the logging roads that are primo for riding and Sand Lake offers the outdoor sand riding that you are looking for. Enjoy!
Call the Nehalem Bay State Park Ranger office there. They can answer .
Google Nehalem Bay State Park. They have a website and you can make reservations there.
Best cleanest PRIVATE showers with endless hot water.
