I was in there for attempted overdose. I have 2 stars because 1 some.. SOMEE of the staff where tolerable 2 cause I got put on meds which help me a lot but the way this facility is ran is terrible. You would get told your going home then the day of you would get told “never mind your staying” why?? Idk but this happen to a lot of the kids in there I got a really bad sickness because it’s freezing in there and after you take a shower you go to bed so you are wet and cold most the night, the nurses where beyond loud when you where trying to sleep and keep in mind you can hear EVERYTHING including them talking about patients. I was 17 in that place and I was hearing them talk bad about my parents for letting me get a tattoo (a memorial piece for my dad who died by hanging) and that’s just outrageous. Very unprofessional and I wouldn’t let my worst enemy get put in this place!

Two years ago or so I was at a very low point in my life and wanted to see what this was. (20 yo at time). They said they would give me an evaluation when I went in. Long story short I didn’t say anything about suicidal thoughts (I was never suicidal then) next thing I know I’m in a room for 8 hours without my medication. Then a lady tells me I’ve been baker acted and 5 very large men come in the room to take me back. I was drugged for three days and one day given a shot that was not on my papers when I left I’ve never felt so high. The experience truly ruined my life and I think whatever they gave me permanently damaged my brain. If you or a loved one need help please do not go here. I have never been the same since

As a local psychiatrist, I especially appreciate being able to refer to their outpatient day treatment programs. I also value their communication with me when my patients are admitted. Thank you for your service to our community!

Absolute nightmare dealing with this company. Very difficult time getting them to keep me informed about my son’s condition. Their method seems to be removing my son’s coping mechanisms as punishment and then writing a diagnosis and plan based on his reactions to the abuse he endured. I had to report them to the state and am now looking into malpractice options. They destroyed my son. Please do anything you have to in order to keep your kids away from them. In response to the message from Suncoast: you will have to take it up when the State of Florida visits. I left messages for for the CEO 3 times and never got a response. Ditto my son’s doctor (?), therapist (?), and the head of the therapy department. Trying to look like you care at this late point is just pathetic. Sorry, I tried.

Do not go there....look it up. They medicated my daughter wrong and almost killed her there was a case about it that was turned in to DCF against the site itself. In the case which happened last year they found that the site was negligent. And to answer your question no they're not very sympathetic.
