My 84 yr old mom was here for over a month and someone stole her Cell phone. It's been over month and they (administrators) have done nothing about the situation. All the nurses and help were great. I will never ever advise anyone to go there. My mom suffered grief and anguish because she didn't have her phone. I had to buy my mother a phone and now she lost all of her contacts and beautiful photos!!!

My daughter’s boyfriend was JUST transferred here earlier this evening. When he saw the room they put him in. He started to cry. He was begging my daughter to help him get out of there. He just didn’t over a month in a hospital in Lakeland. My daughter started to cry because she felt such impotence. It’s dull looking, dingy & dark. The equipment looks like it’s from the 80’s or 90’s. He’s a 6’ tall very thin young man & he looked like he didn’t fit on the bed they put him in. One of the night nurses looked annoyed when she saw my daughter walk in to see him. She then walks in the room & tells my daughter, she needs to leave because she has to take his vitals. Why couldn't she take his vitals with my daughter present? & why is she already being rude with a new patient. SHE WAS VERY RUDE & HE JUST GOT THERE. I’m concerned for him. He’s only 19 years old, had a very bad accident & might be paralyzed the rest of his life. He was sent to this hospital to try & get him off the ventilator so he could be sent elsewhere to hopefully start physical therapy. He’s had surgery for a large pressure ulcer. I’m scared they’re going to leave him dirty & his wound will get infected again (after reading about other patients who caught infections). I pray they take really good care of him but after reading so many horrific reviews. Im beyond worried for his health & that they’re going to mistreat him. He’s young, he’s scared & he’s dealing with paralysis & now he’s in this hospital that has given him the worst experience in the first few hours of his arrival.

The orders were taken accurately by Ice and Clay however whoever the cook is tends to put things that do not belong on the tray (salt) or items ordered would be missing altogether.

My personal thought is that some of the specialists at this facility Do Not share notes properly, or they are not transitioned correctly. The ICU associates were on point. However, the PCU unit needs to be a little more consistent with its notes once a patient is evaluated. My family had to keep asking them for updates because we kept notes every time someone came in to evaluate our mother. One Respiratory Tech. (female) was not professional at all and seemed to be sarcastic with her answers when we’d ask questions. We felt like we had a job at this facility, and luckily we were there every hour we were allowed.
