I originally went for the Sunday market. While the food was nice (mango and sticky rice, red bean paste-filled sesame balls, fried bananas), the bigger draw is the beautiful Thai temple and the lush plants and trees surrounding it. There is outdoor seating right by the river. Easy to get to and definitely worth a visit.

They are open, of course not like pre covid! You’ll have to get a paper menu to write your order down and wait in line to have your order fulfilled. Get there early otherwise a lot of the food items would be sold out. Very nice day to be able to sit by the river and picnic table to enjoy the food. Hopefully it will be back to pre covid time where all the vendors were opened and serving freshly made hot foods on the spot.

Glad to have a new favorite place to go around here. We went there on Thai’s New Year day (Songkran) and it was pretty crowded. The line for ordering Thai food was incredibly long. Atmosphere was super nice, peaceful, and beautiful.

An experience for the soul. They also have food with many picnic tables to sit and enjoy. The view of the temple and river is great. Line for food was long and they ran out of food towards the end so get there early. Clean bathroom facility.

830-2 Get there early! Lines get long. This place is absolutely delicious
Sunday market was closed till I went last month, food is available thru drive through and picnic tables are available
I believe so. I went on a Sunday and visitors were going in, although I didn't. I think they just ask you to remove your shoes before entering.
Yes, but its drive thru only, you can't get out and eat at the tables. Only take-away. You order from a menu/list, food only.
It's Grati ... but you need to be there early and well. And the food sells well fast. The majority of the food is $ 5 (only cash not card) and they sell plants and flowers also different prices. You need to be there like 8 o'clock in the morning ... have a good time 😊
The temple is open daily from 8a.m. to 6 p.m. I believe
No, you can park and get out to order. Everything is ordered in one location under 1 tent. You will get a number and they will call you when your order is ready. The picknick tables are available to sit and eat. Unfortunately there was no other vending like it used to be. Only food for sale. Wish they would open back up 100% the way it was before. It was really nice then.
Yes, in the barn-like building just past the large parking lot.
We went on a Monday and masks were required to enter the temple.
It's drive through only and a limited menu on Sundays now.
No. It likely will not return to the way it was until the pandemic is quelled. However, you can park your car after receiving your food and walk to the tables by the water.
Currently it's all drive thru..
Not when I was there a couple weekends ago. Hope they start selling them again.
It's still drive thru
Jamie Dixon , They are fully open rugular hours on Sunday 🤗🐬
Amy Yes they will be open Sunday for the 4th of July 🐬🌟is Open I call The center and received a messay
When will the orchids plants sale start ?
Yes, everyone is welcome to sit at the picnic tables. However, they do ask that visitors wear a mask when not eating.
Their website states there is only a drive through food market at this time till further notice. As for it being Easter Sunday it should not make a difference since it is a Buddhist Temple and they don't observe Christian Holidays. Your best bet is to call tomorrow to confirm website details. It will be nice when the full market opens again.
You can call them and ask.
No not yet
Yes. Even though these vendors would benefit from credit card terminals
It is all mostly on gravel but there are ramps up to the food and restrooms.. I would say YES but better with Offroad wheels
They have a beautiful temple and I think they teach that teaching there. Communicate with them. Success.
Free
It's a quick trip on the crosstown however I would have to say it's a good ten miles or more. Well worth the trip though.
Not sure. I'd check the official website listed or social media.
1pm you definetly want to be there before then... Food runs out earlier...
Yes. I have seen people with dogs there. As long as you have it leashed and is well mannered. They do have stray cats around.
Tai temple is not a school it is a place where families come to enjoy good food most plates are $5 you can also buy plants, herbs and flowers also take pictures by the river that's there and also there is a temple where at times Buddhists do their chant and you can be there while they do and take pictures of the temple and inside of it etc....enjoy :)
Many people bring their dogs on leashes, not just service dogs. I think they are kept out of the food service area.
Never mind, I just called and there only open on Sunday's.
1pm
Yes but on Sunday's and Festival days there's visitors, vendors & stuff. Nice quiet pier for meditation if you treasure solitude during week. Be respectful this is also the Monk's homes.
Sunday is when they have the food market. Check the website for special events
Wonder today open for food on sun ?
Wear long pants, no shorts allowed. & Three incence sticks.
I called the the Temple, and they told me the Brunch will not be open on Dec 23.
Plenty of people bring dogs. They are allowed everywhere except up on the wooden deck where food is cooked and served
I called the the Temple, and they told me the Brunch will not be open on Dec 23.
Yes photography is permitted ~ As far as services you would have to check with them ~ On Sundays they have food and plant sales you can ask them then
8:30am to 1pm.
Is it open other days or just sunday
Sunday 830am 2pm
There are definitely vegetarian options. I am unsure of vegan but I'm 80% sure there are.
first come first serve 🙂
My wife and I bring sets of individual serving sized food and water bottles to offer each of the monks as they walk around the temple. The number of monks changes from time to time. However, if you don't have time to buy or pack things in advance, the temple will sell a set of food, water, and flowers to alms.
Yes
9am and the earlier you get there the better as it gets pretty crowded.
Sunday is when they have the open market and food open to the public. You could probably go there today if you wanted to meditate.
Sorry, only Sunday
Cash only. Make sure you stop at an ATM first.
It opens at 9 for food and it's beautiful and quiet time to eat by water.
