I have always had a great experience at this location. I have visited other locations and have had good experiences at those as well. I frequent the Pinellas location the most because it's on my way home from work. Chris, the clerk i see mostly there, is always kind and welcoming. The experience started like any other we walked into our local Ace location to get the documentation needed to restart direct deposit on my husband's new job and also deposit his first paycheck from that job. We were helped by Nesha and April who was polite and friendly however when it came to the point of depositing his first paycheck there seem to be an issue. The two associates that were present attempted to figure it out but they weren't able to get any information on why they were unable to deposit the paycheck. Then they noticed that there was a phone number on the receipt for us to call so she asked us to go ahead and and try to call that number while we were in the store and see if we could get any information. My husband called the number and after being on hold for over 20 minutes was told by whomever answered that the check could not be cashed at my Ace location or any other Ace location and that he could not provide me with any other information. Verbatim, that is literally what was said. My husband was getting a little irritated and stepped outside and the two associates continue to try to figure out the reason why and what they could do to resolve the situation. They could have easily just told us there was nothing they could do like the 1-800 number did and sent us on our way. Instead they not only were able to figure out what the issue was with the paycheck but they were also able to find a way around and get the check deposited into our account. My husband and I both work in hospitality and we also eat out frequently and have noticed that good, friendly customer service in most places seems unimportant or non-existent lately. This was not the case today and it was greatly appreciated we've had our Ace account for over 2 years we love it and we will continue to use it due in part to the customer service that we received today
