I recently needed an eye exam. I saw the optometrist working there . I was also late due to an illness I've had. They almost didn't see me because I was late for my appt. I called back and asked again if he could please see me, after all I went through just to get there in my condition. They said to come in. After the eye exam we were talking about what happened to me and he let me know he was a believer, and asked if I was as well. Yes! Well, his wife worked there and he invited Ron in and they prayed for us and what I am going through! He was/is the real deal I had such an overwhelming peace that today was a divine appt and like his wife said to me " you were supposed to call back". Bless them both! Go see him for your eye care needs!!

2/27 suffered eye trauma. Eye stores are closed for the day. I go home and sleep it off. 2/28 Stuff and things at Optical Outlets* 3/07 Stuff and things at Optical Outlets* 3/15 It would be eight days before I was able to go out again. Virus is getting real and I am anxious to get my new lenses before everything shuts down. I visit walmart with my husband because we need some groceries and I am an established patient at their vision center as well because for my birthday last year my husband surprised me with having me try contacts. I ask them what they would charge to replace my lenses with a new prescription and if they would need my glasses for the entire time. I was told 39 dollars and no they only need my glasses when I come to pick up my lenses so they can put them in the frames then. I gave them the prescription from optical outlets. She comments about such a strange change in the new prescription from what they had on file from me 9 months prior. I tell her that I had a cut on my eye and maybe that's why there was such a change. I paid for new lenses and go about my business. 3/20 A week later I picked up my new lenses from walmart. She took my glasses and switched out the lenses. I am immediately disappointed. With my new lenses, my vision is worse on my left eye where it was cut and no change of the other eye. She can tell something is wrong and I explain that it's no good. She tells me that I am the 3rd (don't remember the exact number so lowballing it, could have been as high as 9th) person that day to have a bad prescription from Karl Johannessen. She suggests that I give it a week to adjust, which is a normal thing to say. It strikes me very oddly that so many people on a given day would have a bad prescription from the same person. Maybe something is wrong with the equipment at this location. Karl isn't necessarily a bad Dr. He only seems so joyless every time I observe him in the store like he dislikes the job. 3/27 I return a week later, having given plenty of time to adjust and no better for worse. I ask if I could have an eye exam there. I am able to be seen that day so I pay 75 dollars for a new exam. and wait my turn. While I am waiting, I ask their check in lady for her advice on how to go about asking for a refund for the bad exam. She tells me that it depends on the Dr but encourages my to try. I find out that they are not allowed to order any new lenses at this time because of the pandemic and I am disheartened BUT I am so lucky because of my situation was the only way they were allowed to order lenses, called a dr change. I am beyond relieved and thankful. I do the eye pressure part and wait some more. When the physician sees me, I tell him what's been going on. He gives me a much more comprehensive exam, with peripheral checks and a longer vision exam and dilatation exam and even had me looking up, down and side to side so he could see parts of my eye that Karl from optical outlets did not check. Everything looks good and healthy. I even made an uncertain comment "If you're willing to..." when he asked if I'd let him do the dilatation drops today and made him laugh "Would I be willing?" Can really tell he loves his job, and everyone in that area are pleasant and willing to talk to you instead of eyes glued to what's on their computer screen... With this new prescription, the desk lady puts in the information for ordering and I don't have to pay anything extra because of their 60 day satisfaction guarantee. 4/3 A week later I go and pick up my new new lenses, trade out the bad prescription ones and it's immediately amazing. I am happy. She tells me I might need time to adjust - nope it's already loads better thank you. *not enough characters allowed, had to cut out a lot of information about my experience at optical outlets. The important part for this review is the great service I received from the staff at this walmart vision center.

I am so happy and relieved I didn’t go by the reviews. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the Dr was very professional. When I got my glasses they were perfect. I’ve never gotten glasses where I didn’t have to go back to have my prescription adjusted. I’m very satisfied and will definitely go back.

Went to the Mt Dora, FL, vision center at Walmart. After a bad accident my glasses were totally mangled but not broken. I was on vacation. I was hoping they could re-mount my lenses into some kind of a temporary frame to last while I waited for new glasses. The technician was named Mabelyn, and she did such a good job I could hardly believe it. She told me she could not guarantee the results but that she would try to bend the glasses back into shape. SHE DID!!! They look like new glasses. And she would not charge me one cent. What good service. This was better that I could have hoped for.

My wheelchair bond mother has a prescription, need to pick up frames
That depends on what your doctor fits you with. There are a lot of different kinds, and they all come with a different price.
They do not take any insurance for the initial exam it is 65$ flat. As for the glasses themselves you would have to bring your card.
If the coating is wearing off or there are scratches, then no. Your only recourse would be to purchase new lenses. The office you purchased them from may have given you a warranty, so you might want to call them to see what they can do.
