If you are just starting out in life no job experience,no schooling and dont mind working a low wage job to pay your income based rent, project hope is for you. If you have college in mind you will not be permitted to go to school and work unless you work 40hrs a week and we all know thats impossible (especially for nursing students) Basically this program just wants you to work enough to save up enough money to get your own place in a year, this is not a program that wants to help you advance academically which makes no sense because most apartments are 600/650 and how can we afford that on minimum wage? The staff has declined in several ways, where as the director is extremely insensitive towards women, does not seem interest in helping us,at times your looked an talked to like you are nothing because of the situation you got yourself into. This program needs to hire some younger women who are diligent in helping us and sensitive to the problems us single mothers face.We need people who actually can be in the office for us,who can find answers to our questions and not choose favorites and make inappropriate comments unnecessarily towards members. There are alot of issues I feel need to be addressed,Im very happy to have moved on but I pray that whom ever seeks help from this place can gain more from it than I did.
