An absolutely beautiful forest and picture of old Florida. Wildlife is abundant, from bears, Bobcats, deer, otters, coyotes and the elusive Osceola turkey. Step back in time with an incredible hike through one of Florida's beautiful forests. Bring a camera and capture some pics of beautiful wildlife in its native habitat before we build over it with houses and condos. I hope this place is never developed but the chances are it will be at some point. Enjoy!!!!

The foresters managing Seminole State Forest do an amazing job balancing natural areas and managed use. The forest is very diverse and beautiful. Unlike a park this forest is totally wild and one can easily find spits all to themselves.

Some of the best hiking in Central Florida. Really great segment of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Lots of variety in habitats and wildlife. There are some beautiful small springs hidden in the forest.

Yes, I've encountered them just about every time that I've been there. They're generally more scared of you. Just don't get between a momma and her cubs.
