Our mom was admitted on Aug 10. There were a few bugs to work out, as the hospital (in Orlando) didn't communicate very well. After a couple of days of speaking to the staff, our mom is on her way to a pleasant experience here at Ruleme-Opis Senior Care. The staff are attentive and very compassionate, you don't see that in many places. They listen to your concerns and do their very best to alleviate any you might have. We are fortunate to have found them as a new home for our mom. The facility is clean. The food looks good and smells great. We are very happy to recommend them to anyone that is looking for long term placement. Thanks again Ruleme-Opis Senior Care.

Slowly but surely, things are falling into place in the care of my brother. Problem remains when he is dropped off after dialysis. He's usually disoriented and can't remember his room#. Also, his dinner is cold when he returns from dialysis. I noted his meals do not have sufficient protein and high in carbs that raise his blood sugars. He is served the pink drink. Staff should tell him what's on his plate as he can't see it. Only one server told him what position everything on his plate was. He is left handed. He searches for his utensils on the right. I visited my father, he’s been in nursing homes for over 18 months. On my visit the facility was clean, no noticeable smells. My father was clean - all other facilities he always had a body odor- he was changed and clean when I arrived and changed once during the visit. Everyone has been very helpful and comforting. He arrived straight from the hospital while my mother was also in the hospital and did not have clothes with him. They went and purchased clothing for my father to retain his dignity and he could sit in the common areas! The former nursing home paraded him to the doctors office in only a sheet saying it was too much trouble to put clothes on him. This is a night and day difference! I have only good things to say about Opis and the staff! Thank you for caring for my father when I have to be at the hospital with my mother!
