Jo Ann; thanks for the question. There is no quick answer. It requires a diuscussion on how you intend to use the valuation. If it is for a listing of your busness for sale, it may be included in the success fee for selling your business. If on the otherhand you need a valuaiton for distriubtion to others, perhaps to support a company buy/sell agreement for IRS validation or a valuation for a legal settlement, the costs vary. What I do want to highlight is that a business owner should make getting a valuation of their business every 2-3 years a strategy. It is highly likely their corporate stock in their company is their single largest personal wealth holding and they should know what that market value is regularly if they plan to retire in the next 10 years. We can set up a strategy to provide a valuation and then update it routinely for a very efficient cost that relative to it being their largest investment asset, is very justifiable. Let's talk soon
