I've seen a lot of churches. This one has great ceilings and stained glass. They have a choir you can hear sometimes and they ring a bell at noon.

Every time I attend Mass at St. Joseph's, Capitola, the pastor there gets confused during his homilies, gets side tracked and can't figure out how to get back on topic. It is as if he is wandering aimlessly in a stream of consciousness and the congregation is along for the ride. Our family is seeking out a faithful church that has solid leadership. Any suggestions?

Was searching for a new church years ago when my beloved mom passed away and Father Wayne had the right words in his sermon to start our healing process , and Father Rudy was in our chuch in watsonville many years ago ! So always good to hear his sermons Looking forward to our other new Priest as well Blessed Always Debbie Villarreal

St. Joseph's Catholic Church is a warm, welcoming, contemporary church. Each Mass (Saturday evening and the four Masses on Sunday) has a unique character -- try all of them and see which one you like! The pastor Fr. Wayne Dawson gives thoughtful homilies, and generally celebrates two or three of the weekend Masses. Priests from nearby parishes, and sometimes traveling priests, celebrate the rest of the Masses. There are various social ministries and youth formation programs. Our family has been going there for almost 20 years and it is our spiritual home!

The old St. Joseph's was a beautiful little Gothic church near Gayles. It was torn down after the new church was opened in 1973.
