Just got home from the Petco on West Manatee ave. Absurdly the rudest most uninformed sales people. The salesperson was so uninformed/misinformed regarding water quality I soon realized that I was getting nowhere so asked for manager. Well Amber was orders of magnitude worse!! She knew very very little and would look up info om web site. To prove her points she recited from the internet. She was reading out of context. Very rude and neither was interested in learning about water quality.. Now I agree that the person who was in charge of water regulation for a region does not come in often. But when a person is asking questions they can't answer they might want to reconsider their thought process. I'm willing to teach but they had no interest in learning. They wouldn't sell me a fish (but they did the day before). Reason was I told them I put CL2 in pond a few days before. But had taken 2 water samples in for testing both tested 0 for CL2. Mark Twin once ssaid" when you find yourself in a holer stop gigging. Probably something these two clowns should remember. They told me to leave there were many other stores that sell fish. In this economy running customers away probably is not the smartest thing to do. I took their advice and found a fish store right down the street. My suggestion as a guy who had over 100 employees either fire them now or provide training in use of common sense, good judgement and common courtesy. Employees like this will hurt you. Lastly and most important I bought fish the day before from Jamie. Very courteous, knowledgeable, friendly. Outstanding sales person.

I was a regular customer of Petco as my HARVEY (dog) eat only frozen food and it was available at this location and I visited that location twice a week. Today 05/18/2022 I was sitting out side the store on a black bench and one of the female employee asked me to step in as the store door was open, when I stepped in a tall female employee told me to stay out side but Harvey was not ready to leave the store and it was 8:57 am . I requested the employee that to let him stay as it was only 3 minutes to open the store. But she was totally rude to me. After buying my items, my Harvey likes some toys and as there was only one employee, I ask her the price for a toy . She told me to look at the sticker. She was reminded that I am a customer and be nice please. Instead of being nice , she told me to get out from the store. For backing up her another employee in black dress ask her to call 911.

Worst groom my dog has ever had. Nose was shaved bare and clumps of fur missed completely. Only one groomer so I feel she was rushing to keep up witj work load. In,the process I believe somehow my dogs leg was clipped and was bleeding upon picking her up. Will not return. Overpriced for poor groom.
