Love this practice! Dr Diaz-Ramirez is an EXCELLENT surgeon. She is so thorough and really went to bat for me and my health pain options. I trust her implicitly. She administered four facet injections to my lower back and I have had a marvelous response. One has to be careful to make sure one chooses a highly skilled provider. Her Nurse Practitioner, Elena, is also very thorough. She takes careful time with detail, care, professionalism, and attention.

They won't listen to concerns or changes medically about your treatment plan. When you try and talk to them they respond I'm typing and entering info on the computer I can't talk right now. I was on a pain treatment plan, but when I ended up with a tib fib plateau fracture which they couldn't cast due to needing a double knee replacement , I was put on crutches and a leg immobilizer. My pain shot through the roof, when I tried telling them they wouldn't listen or modify my treatment plan for short term. For 2 to 3 months I was in excruating pain, with little to no relief. They wouldn't even examine my leg, or look at the Dr's notes and Cat scan from SMH that showed the fracture. Due to the fracture not healing correctly I'm still on crutches and can't walk correctly. The only thing Sarasota Pain relief is interested in is how many patients they can see a day, they are in it for the money, not patient care.

As a patient it's easy to understand the low rating given Sarasota Pain Relief Centers by other patients. Dr. Diaz- Ramirez is a phenomenal and very capable physician. Unfortunately, a similar positive review can't be given to her support staff. During the last 12 - 18 months I've had to follow up on prescriptions not being sent......Scheduled appointments not appearing on the office schedule that match my appointment card ...... Waiting almost two (2) hours for scheduled appointments......Not having requests for out-patient procedures forwarded to the appropriate providers.

How do they treat new chronic pain patients that have to transfer due to insurance? Some can be very judgemental these days.

Do they accept medicaid?

Any way they can get your money, they'll be happy too. You just won't like the results. Change only happens when people use their voice. Most of the doctors here are only there for the pay check & could care less about your health & wellbeing
