I moved into the Hermitage 2 months ago and love it. Great location closed to lots of restaurants, St Pete Pier, parks.. Love the layout of my apartment, kitchen cabinets and most of all the view - it faces West so lots of beautiful sunsets! Friendly and efficient staff - Monica, Kelly and Kira! Lots of beautiful spaces to hang out, work and entertain - Skyline Kitchen, Library, Pool Deck and Courtyard. Lots of community events - wine & cheese pairings, dancing, art exhibits ...:)

I cannot relay how much I LOVE Hermitage and especially the staff! I’ve lived here for almost a year now and the entire property is simply stunning, I get loads of compliments from my guests, and the resident community is fabulous. I do think it is important for my LGBTQ+ friends to give my full experience as a transgender woman…I’ll try not to cry :) I started my transition a little over a year ago in Tallahassee and planned to move to St. Pete to be near like-minded friends. I took the Hermitage lease sight unseen, no property tour, nothing; based on a fabulous phone conversation with Monika. We handled the lease through emails and phone calls and she was very careful with my “deadname” and was certain to use my new name with every call, email, or other transaction whenever she could. I could tell from the very beginning Hermitage was going to be a safe space and that’s why I felt comfortable signing without ever setting foot on the property. My first visit ever was to drive down from Tallahassee to sign the leasing papers and do the walk-thru. I was still in a very awkward androgynous phase at the time and very unsure of myself in public. I showed up a bit before my appointment and sat in the beautiful lobby, surrounded by artwork, and witnessed for the very first time the always stylish and well appointed Kelly, give a verbal tour of the St. Pete area to a couple who had stopped in to visit and maybe get on the wait list. It was mesmerizing to hear him speak of the area and made me anxious to get myself moved in and go see the city the way he saw it. When it was time for my walkthrough, I was met by the lovely Kira. Even though I was completely awkward - a guy wearing short-shorts, a little bit of makeup, and a Red Hot Chili Peppers t-shirt (eye roll) - Kira was absolutely professional, super friendly, and welcoming. I do remember being in awe on the tour at how quickly she could get from one place to the next in stilettos, lol! Since that first day, I’ve had many adventures on Central and around the city, made lifelong friends both in the building and outside, changed my name and myself, and fallen in love… but after every new milestone or adventure I always stop by the front desk to tell my “family”. I know one day I’ll eventually have to move on and leave Hermitage; but not today. No, not today :)

I have lived at the Hermitage going on 5 years. The apartments are lovely and the people who live in the building are so warm and friendly. The Hermitage has been my “home” for several years. Up until the last few months, I would have given the building a 5-star rating any day, anytime. However, I am now adding this 1-star rating based solely on my recent experiences with the front office and desk staff. If you are looking for a place with friendly, warm, welcoming front desk staff and management, I would consider looking elsewhere in St. Pete. I feel that the front desk staff and office no longer place importance on the happiness of their tenants or welcoming guests to the building. They are now only focused on enforcing rules with a stern hand and collecting money. I would only recommend the Hermitage if you want to pay $3000+ a month to be treated like a kid in a dorm and get countless texts about violations and rules.

The Hermitage is a well-appointed, well-run apartment building. We have lived at the Hermitage for 9 months now and have enjoyed our time here. The building is a fantastic location right in between the Edge district and downtown. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, stores and even a Publix close by. The building is well maintained, and the amenities are top notch, from the roof top pool and gym to the Kitchen, Library and Office area. The building is well constructed and quiet, with almost a zen like feel. The staff at the front desk are friendly and extremely helpful. Special call-out to Monika who showed us the apartments when we were first looking and has been there for anything we need since. We looked at 5 other buildings in the area but once we stepped into the Hermitage we knew it was the right choice for us.
