I have done business with this store in the past, now I have distanced myself from giving this establishment any business. I called to inquire about a 454 Casull Rifle and was told none in stock and they didn't know when one would be available. I called again a month later and was told the same story and yet they had received one in stock and listed it on Gunbroker to price gouge their existing customers and any new customer looking for a rifle that is on back order at most dealers. I hope your happy withe extra few hundred you make from price gouging this product, because you will no longer receive my business and only bad reviews to my fellow friends who are looking to purchase a firearm. Hopefully, loss of business is worth that extra couple bucks.

Well, I guess I am going to be contrary to the more recent reviews here. I bid on an auction for ammo on GB (450BM) and won the auction with a final delivered price of about ~30% less than the going rate for that specific ammo. I won the auction on Wednesday at 6PM eastern time, and had the very well packaged case of ammo at my doorstop on Saturday at 2PM. I do live in Maine, so the shipping speed was aided by proximity, but they obviously shipped my ammo out the first thing on Thursday. In my limited experience with Sportsman's Supply on GB, I will not hesitate (and will search them out to see if they offer what I am looking for) to bid on their items given my first experience with them. I would not hesitate to buy from them on GB.

Years ago this place was good to deal with . Now days this place is good at price gouging . If it's a popular fire arm in demand or a new release fire arm or ammo when it comes in they will keep this stuff in demand in the back and not put it out on the shelf for the customers who been dealing with them for years. But they will gladly list the stuff on Gun Broker in a hurry to get people to way over pay for this stuff . Even when you call and inquire about such items and are told they don't have said items for sale in the store for people they will most likely tell you they have some on Gun Broker for you to try and win by way over paying ! Just my past experiences I had with them for the past few years. The place has become a bit of a joke now days.

I grew up shopping there for all my hunting needs Now that I live far away, I love when I'm in town and go there to shopping, they always carry what ever I need. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. If you need hunting equipment this is the place to go.

I would advise reading ALL reviews on google, yelp, and yellow pages before purchasing from this location. They are rude and do not care to help people looking for new firearms
I'm so sorry to hear that my brother veteran. I was thinking about going there to purchase my first hand gun but after seeing your review and all the other horrible reviews I'm going elsewhere. It sucks cause they're just a mile from my home. God speed!
I agree on it being a glitch or one auction after another. I'm pretty sure the same person takes care of it all and if you look how many things they are auctioning off at one time well give them the benifit of a doubt
Wednesday and Saturday. Yep. They sometimes make an appointment if you call and ask.
my guess is that they wanna keep an inventory so they only open for short spurts to keep the demand down...
I tried the number ending in 4294. Automated answer says not taking calls at this time. Anyone have a number they actually pick up? Very disappointing. Should read the reviews.
I never had a problem with them
I've been waiting a month and a half and don't get responses. Something is up with them, and clearly a terribly run business. It's honestly the worst experience I've ever had with any business.
Call the store
I believe that if she is of legal age with photo id there shouldn't be a problem
You are not the first person this has happened to. I believe they list on gunbroker and have the item available for sale in the store at the same time. Most likely, the item was sold locally and they are waiting for a new one to come in, or you didnt submit the proper paperwork for the transfer.
That's never happened to me. When did this occur and why?
Check out down range in Butler.
Yes do not remember the price
Yes they do
They have multiple on Gunbroker.com I purchased one a couple of weeks ago and one for a 20ga
I have never been disappointed with their prices. Did you get the salespersons name?
