I am soo grateful that I found Egg Donation, Inc! Searching for egg donation agencies is a scary process! Without my doctor’s recommendation, it is hard to pick the right agency. I never had any problems and the staff seemed very caring. I felt at ease knowing they also were egg donors and Intended Parents themselves. It was easy to connect as they knew what we were going through. Thank you EDI for giving me a life with my beautiful babies!

As “older” parents, we found the process was smooth and fully-transparent. We knew financially, this would take some juggling, but the team was up front about all costs so we knew exactly what to expect. My partner and I can only say wonderful things about them. Thanks ED, Inc for all that you do!

Hi Charles, To become an egg donor at Egg Donation, Inc (eggdonor.com), first you will need to create your own personal account at: https://account.eggdonor.com/donor-registration Once you have created your own personal account, you will need to fill out the formal egg donor application where you complete a questionnaire and submit photos. Our egg donor coordinator will review your application and will alert you if she is able to approve you for our egg donor database. If approved, you will have a formal interview and be accepted into the EDI program.

Am 33 years old and strong and active woman, can I qualify to be an egg donor?

Thank you for inquiring about our program. Guidelines set by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) recommend egg donors should be their state's age of legal majority and preferably be between the ages of 21 and 34. Generally speaking, egg donors can be between the age of 18 and 35, although this will vary depending on the agency or clinic you work with. We have found that the best egg donors tend to be between 21-29 years old, have graduated college, and have regular periods. While there is a guiding age bracket, it is such a big decision to donate eggs, that the preferred donor age to is over 23 since at that age you’re potentially more mature.

Why do you put my money in an escrow account?

Hi Louise, In 2010, California bill 2426 was signed into law, specifying how funds for surrogacy and egg donation must be managed in the state. California Family Code Section 7961 requires that client funds for assisted reproduction be deposited into one of two specific accounts: (1) An independent, bonded escrow depository maintained by a licensed, independent, bonded escrow company, or (2) A trust account maintained by an attorney. Client-trust accounts held by attorneys are regulated by the California State Bar, to which each attorney is accountable. In addition, the California State Bar has created the Client Security Fund, which protects clients against financial losses from dishonest conduct. Law firms have no financial interest in holding accounts for clients. We ask our clients to deposit all funds, prior to cycle commencement, directly into a California State Bar attorney-client trust account managed by Surrogacy & Fertility Escrow (SAFE).
