I worked here for 7 months as the facility specialist. I wouldn’t recommend anyone in the military apply as the company didn’t respect service members till notified of the laws Didn’t provide training for job or millage reimbursement (was told it would be) never gotten adequate tools to do job duties till after obtaining my own tools, to which then staff stole 2 items so I complained and was told I need to make tool list of what I need to do my job. When I requested a hammer nails and leveler or impact gun and screws. I was denied and told I only need a hammer and nails to hang a 6x3 white board. Let alone the window I replaced 33x36 on 6 foot ladder alone Yet I was harassed by staff about things I was unable to fix as parts were in the mail or the company didn’t own the building. The company uses public buildings that requires work orders to the city but directors allows Csas to remove building fixtures or make copy’s of keys that weren’t allowed to copy or need to be approved before giving to staff but they randomly passed them out. So for my safety I told my first line supervisor I wouldn’t be doing keys anymore for liability issues. I’m posting this in hopes to help any future staff know of their potential unsafe management and work conditions For anyone looking for public help with housing. Call 211 or Hope cause FSC has waiting list but it’s first come first served 80% chance you’ll get recommendations to another agency. That being said I believe in staff members there to help and make difference. The male staff members that come onto site off the clock to make female staff feel safe as they aren’t any males on shift. I’m also going to apologize to clients I was able to build with and do my best to help, when they couldn’t with shelter supervisors because they were unavailable or to busy for clients needs, even though majority of their jobs they dictated to lower staff I eventually got the point of telling clients to put everything in writing, so the company couldn’t ignore it. Hopefully that help the client i informed to do this, after I was told to stay in my line of just fixing things and not helping clients

I hope you're in your l near loaves and fishes, downtown Sacramento. they do offer free meal every day ,they also have survival supplies that they give away for men and women they have showers for women and men and a couple of shelters within a mile or two of loaves and fishes that's about the best place to be they'll give you a voucher for the DMV to cover the cost of your ID not your driver's license and it's just a very good place to try to stay connected with homeless services and resources hope to see you soon
