'21/7 1st time visitor/review: -- Very clean campus offering a full compliment of amenities to those less fortunate--gospel services (chapel), meals (large cafeteria style), clothing (clothes closet), toiletries, showers, hair cuts, weights area, mens live-in recovery. -- Super kind, understanding staff. -- A worthy organization.

This is my Go To spot when I have items to give away. I load up the car and when I arrive there is always someone happy to help me with my donation drop off. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences. It always takes all of 5 minutes!

Found the women's clothing closet through an online search. In order to receive help with clothing and toiletries, you have to arrive at 9am for an hour long church service before getting help with anything. The surrounding area is tough, I wouldn't recommend bringing your children with you. However, they do have a children's clothing area as well. I rated my experience so low because the people who reside over the program are stingy with the clothing. They give out 1 pair of panties, 1bra and one pair of socks per monthly visit. This needs to be improved. No one wants to sit and wait 2-3hours to receive 1 short sleeve shirt, 1 long sleeve, etc. Seems like the donations are collecting dust or being taken by the employees because they are barely being distributed to the homeless.

Stranded at the greyhound station, I had no money, no help, and no hope. I was hungry and tired, and didn't have any idea as to where to go for food or shelter... union gospel mission is the place to go if you need a friend, a meal, or a place to stay. The only problem(s) with Sacramento is there are not enough restrooms... and the only major problem with U.G.H is no packages to the mail center here.... come on guys.. you can do better than that!!!

7 nights in and then 3 out, then you can come back for another 7. When its slow they allow standby in case someone does not show up and if its less than the 3 days they will let you in if there's room. They do also have an awesome rehabilitation program that is Christ centered for 1 year, then they work with you on housing. If your working you may be able to stay longer than the 1 year. They'll help with a car after you graduate as well.
Thanks so much, Crepe, but we really don't have room to add more to our materials.
We typically do, but at this time we do not have enough storage, so we're putting a pause on them.
I would check with 211 Sacramento they might be able to help. Sorry, we do not have a parking lot available.
