Thank you for making Bean feel so comfortable and loved. He didn't cry at all and usually at all other vet locations he cries in pain. Thank you to all the friendly staff and keeping us informed regarding his upcoming surgery. All of you are wonderful!

This office and staff were very friendly. I took my elderly Chihuahua named Little here for an emergency pet visit since he was really sick. They were able to get him on the walk in waiting list and squeeze him in the same day (on a weekend!) even though he had never been to the facility before. The did take a while to check him out (a few hours) but they were very busy and let me know it would take a while. When I talked to the dr. he went over all the services that we might want to do and medications and was open to picking the ones that made the most sense for us based on cost and what we wanted to do for him. They were not pushy at all and were supportive of whatever treatment plan I chose or did not choose. Overall I felt the care was great and the communication from the Dr was amazing. He answered all my random questions and 'what ifs'. The prices are fair. They are not super cheap by definitely cheaper that other vets in LA (about 30% less) , especially emergency vets. I would def go back and recommend to anyone.

Everyone at Affordable Animal Hospital have given my dogs the best care. They are efficient and caring knowing exactly what to do. They are extremely honest and afforable without cutting the quality time with my dogs at each visit. Dr.Brian Adler is the BEST Vet I've ever been to! I would never take my dogs anywhere else. When your dogs are with them it's like your pets are with family ❤

Not a friendly place for rescues. We took our foster dog here because we were looking for an affordable place to get a check up (it seemed like he was having pain with urination and a painful tail). Prior to the visit, I let them know that he is typically wary of strangers and would come muzzled which I reiterated when we dropped him off at the clinic. I made it clear from the beginning that he was a bit of a difficult dog to work with because he was a rescue who still needed to be counter-conditioned to reduce his reactivity. However, they ensured me both times that it would be fine. I would have preferred just an honest answer that they did not have the training to work with my dog either on the phone or immediately when they had interacted with him so that I could have taken him to someone who did (or even that he needed to be sedated for a check-up). Instead, the vet spent the whole appointment fixating on how he hadn't been neutered and his aggression from that (we hadn't even listed either one as a concern as he was scheduled to be neutered the next week and any aggression he exhibited was fear-based rather than dominance). It's like they had never heard that aggression could be a symptom of pain (our primary concern), even though we had left notes about him whimpering and having a bout of incontinence while laying down! The only concern that was somewhat addressed was anal gland expression (which ended up not fixing the main problem). Because we were not allowed in the room, we are doubtful that they did a proper examination and are unclear if they may have slipped him something without our knowledge because he ended up puking later that night. He also came out with a bunch of tape sticking to the bottom of his foot so I am doubtful of the cleanliness of the space where they hold the dogs. My dog has been fine and friendly at other clinics who know how to work with rescues.

how much is it to deworm a cat, vaccinations and neuter?

Not sure - I'd call for that. Animal shelters tend to have free or low cost spay/neutering events that can include vaccinations. Call around to your local shelters and ask about such programs

How much would it cost to do blood work and xray for a 6month old kitten

Talin Gharadaghi | Sep 7, 2021

They quoted me about $480 for blood work and x-rays. That's after I had told them I could afford the $580 they had initially quoted me. That wouldn't have included treatment.

My dog has been struggling of jaw pain how much would it be to take her here ?

Best of luck....the place seems to me not truly very affordable, but the service is good. We spent 350 to give deworm treatments to two small cats (two treatments) and flea treatments.

Some local shelters help with fees: South LA, East Valley and North Central's Shelter Intervention Program can assist with fees. While you can drop off any animal at a city shelter for $25, it may sit in a cage for days until put to sleep. Best to get voucher from shelter and go to vet who lets you be with pet.
