My experience in Orthodontics LA has been on of the most professional and wonderful experiences I have received in any dental setting. Starting from preparing for finances for my braces to explaining what I wanted to achieve from this procedure, to every single of my appointments, Dr. Artin and the orthodontics LA staff really made the experience amazing and the result after my treatment turned out better than expected! I would like to thank Dr. Artin and everyone for helping me gain my confidence back with my smile. When I was younger I never really smiled due to my insecurities with my teeth but as of today I can really say I am extremely happy with the results! I would recommend anyone that had had issues with their teeth and wanting to improve them to visit Orthodontics LA!

Of course! More and more adults are coming in for orthodontic treatment whether it’s their first time or they want a second round of orthodontics to realign teeth that may have moved out of place. It’s important to keep the teeth and jaws in proper alignment, so they don’t cause painful jaw problems, bruxism, etc. We have many subtle but effective orthodontic options for adults who want straighter smiles without the inconvenience of traditional braces.

Orthodontics LA | Sep 8, 2019

Many of our patients are interested in getting Invisalign, a clear aligner system that is virtually invisible (hence the name). It’s great for adults and teens because it’s completely removable and undetectable, so it doesn’t get in the way of day-to-day activities. However, Invisalign is not always as effective as metal braces for extreme orthodontic issues. Ask our orthodontists at Orthodontics LA if Invisalign is right for you in a free consultation!

Two-phase treatment is composed of early intervention (stage 1) and regular orthodontics (stage 2). Kids can get two-phase treatment to fix developing structural problems with the teeth and jaws. Crossbites, underbites, overbites, underbites, protruding teeth, and severe crowding can be easier to fix when the bone is still growing and soft. Phase 2 occurs much later, after all the permanent teeth have grown in. It addresses alignment issues and root parallelism for adult teeth.

When should I take my child to see an orthodontist?

Orthodontics LA | Sep 8, 2019
Orthodontics LA | Sep 8, 2019

Children can receive an orthodontic evaluation as early as 7 years old, according to the American Association of Orthodontists. At this age, the orthodontist can assess how the teeth and jaws are developing. With early intervention, the orthodontist can detect and prevent major structural problems as the teeth grow. Issues like malocclusions, gaps, and crowding can be addressed with various orthodontic treatments before they become serious. Many pediatric dentists recommend getting an orthodontic evaluation for children, so they don’t need to extract permanent teeth later in the future.
