I bought my tires at a Costco in Clarkston WA. I moved here and had to have my tires rotated and balanced which is included when you buy tires. After an hour, they called me in and told me the lug nuts were damaged and that the auto repair shop I had received brake work from had messed up the lug nut threads and damaged the threads on the hub. They advised me not to drive my car, put 4 of the lug nuts on (the 5th one couldn’t even be installed), and reinstalled the wheel doing further damage (so the car would be put on the flat bed). My feeling is that if the lug nuts were damaged that badly previously and were not holding I would have had problems when I drove the car, especially on the freeway. They should have actually looked at the lug nuts and therefore the hub when they took the wheel off, not after they tried putting them on and taking them off and putting them on again. They rotated the tires and when they tried to put the wheel on and off and on again, discovered there were 4 lug nuts that had damaged threads and called me in to let me know. One of those lug nuts could not even be installed at all and the other three had mashed threads. So now I have the expense of towing my car to the repair shop after hours, buying a new hub, new lug nuts and installation of the parts. When I called Costco Tire Nampa to dispute their claim of what happened they told me that lug nuts are a part that wears out and it’s just normal. I have never ever in all my years of owning new and used cars had an issue with lug nuts wearing out. I will change this review when my issue is taken seriously and I am paid for my towing and repairs.

We had an emergent situation with not 1 but 2 tires that separated on us on a trip from Portland to Iowa. Luckily we were able to make it to the Costco tire center though it was very scary and thought we wouldn’t. We slept in our van in the parking lot and when they opened the next morning, went in to buy tires. Nate was so incredibly kind and helpful and was able to get us in and taken care of. We are VERY grateful for the urgent help and fitting us in! Thank you!!!

Baloney. Called to see about ordering tires. They said you have to order online or come and that coming in is faster. Went in said they were out of the tires I tried to order. Couldn’t they just have told me that over the phone? Bad business practice. Total waste of a trip to Nampa.

I had new rims installed that I purchased from a place Costco recommended. Costco installed the rims but told me the lugs that came with the rims were too big and wouldn’t fit, so they put their own lugs on (which I was charged for). When I picked up the car, the rim plates were not on and I was told they wouldn’t fit because the lugs were too long and that I could see if Discount Tire had lugs that would fit. Thankfully Les Schwab fixed the issue and the original lugs fit! I then had to take the car back to Costco because they never activated the sensors in the new rims. Two months after this, I made the mistake of going back due to a nail in my tire which became another ordeal. I ended up leaving and driving to the Boise Costco where I received excellent service. The Nampa Costco tire center is awful however Boise has been fantastic. In the future I will always make the drive to Boise for my tire needs.
