Best place to do business! Friendly, professional staff. I will never go anywhere else. First time using a walk behind edger. August made sure I felt comfortable using before he loaded into my minivan. Did a 4hour rent and job took less than 2. So they only charged for 2. Edger worked perfect the whole time. Thank you Tates, you have another loyal customer for life!

VERY disappointed! Called the Caldwell store last week to verify the availability of a flatbed trailer to take to Portland to pick up palletized machinery. The person I spoke too said no problem with trailer, week rental and going to Portland. Went in to reserve the trailer and was told they don't let equipment leave the Treasure Valley. That put me in a bad position because I made plans based on the availability of the trailer per the phone call. Perhaps training is needed at this store so all people helping customers know this rule. Now I have to make other plans that will cost more. ARG!! Roger

Awesome Customer Service! Rented a stump grinder and this thing was amazing at knocking it out. The crew at Tates Rents were top notch along with the equipment!

Took the day off of work to get some important yard work done. Called the day before to reserve a sod cutter. When I went to pick it up, they were very friendly and showed me how it worked and helped me put it into the truck. Once we got it home, it wasn’t working right. After further inspection, we could see there was a missing bolt and the belt was chewed up. Wasted over an hour trying to get it to work, then had to muscle it back into the truck. Back at the store, they realized it wasn’t supposed to be rented out because it needed repair!!! Didn’t try to make it right by giving us options to make up for the lost time and inconvenience. Frustrating, because now I don’t have time to find another sod cutter at a different store. Completely wasted my day off because they didn’t keep their records straight. Will not be giving them my business again.
