I love this place and highly recommend it! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. All of the meat is sourced from family owned farms and the business itself is family owned! I am a recovering vegetarian and just got surgery for cartilage damage from being a long distance runner while being vegetarian. I have been eating meat again for six years, but today I got chicken feet and beef liver for the collagen and detox. It was so cheap and I am excited to cook with it and try something new for my health.

Real butchers. My mom and grandma were pro butchers a long time ago when I was a kid so I know just enough to tell if a butcher is the real deal or not. It's nice to walk into a 'meat shop' and ask questions on different cuts and they know what the cut is, how to prepare it in regards to the grain and/or marbling. Speaking of knowing the cuts, Jerry's 1 star review regarding t-bones is silly. T- bones can be either way and if you didn't like the explanation, move on. Don't leave a 1 star review about something you are unfamiliar with.

This local family business is legit! We used to support another local business but they permanently lost our patronage due to unsafe food handling practices, not to mention the lack of quality customer service when questioned about it. So happy that my husband suggested this place. Each and every time we visit we get great customer service and leave with great quality products. They handle raw meats appropriately and I feel safe buying from this family and I'm so confident in saying that they have gained a couple that will no longer "shop around" for their meat. It's all amazing no matter what it is or how we cook it. Thank you so much for making Boise the home for your local butcher shop.

Being new to the area, we got a coupon in a mailer for Choice Cuts and visited last week. We were glad we did! They have a tremendous selection of meats, the store is clean, the young man serving the counter shared a wealth of knowledge as he described some of the items we inquired about, and the location is good. We bought some BlackBerry Turkey Jerky which is actually smoked, not dehydrated. It has a very nice flavor and you don't have to tear at it with your teeth like you do with some jerky. We cubed some for our family football watch party -- and everyone liked it! We also bought some Sliced BBQ Pork that we'll try later. It looks great with just the right amount of pink color around the edges. Prices are somewhat higher than supermarkets; but the selection, ambiance, and family-operated feel account for the difference.

16.98 a pound on USDA Prime bone in rib
My go to butcher.
I've seen them sell alligator, ostrich, buffalo, I have a good feeling they sell goat in the freezer on the left side when you walk in
Things change daily
Yes they accept EBT
They probably do, but you should call them directly as notices on here are information not actual contact
Please call them and find out.
I believe they do.
They do. Very tender if cooked right. Prices do fluctuate also depends if you choose natural or regular meat.
They sell organic and prime, but I don't think they sell grass fed AND finished. The coop does though
Im sure they would
No sadly we do carry ground Turkey though
