I'd highly recommend Jesse and his install crew if you're interested in solar. Why did I choose them? - their quote was competitive (not the cheapest) but I chose them because of the experience of the install crew (they do installs for other solar companies, who simply sell panels) - they gave me what I asked for (more power than I currently use because I knew I'd have two electric vehicles by 2023) - they answered all my questions thoroughly about longevity, Idaho Power and the best way to connect to my house to make sure I was using my own solar power first, THEN using Idaho Power - they were helpful in understanding how to incorporate a Tesla charger (and future Ford Lightning as backup house generator) into my electrical panel/system) and spoke several times to my electrician - they helped with technical questions and solutions (homeowners data needs and approval, permitting, single or per panel inverters, best panel brand/model) Why I'm happy 6 months after install: 1 - energy production has been much greater than the estimate (meaning I'm closer to break-even) even though it's been an historically cloudy spring 2 - install was done very well, even though i requested final painting of conduit to be done months after due to temperature 3 - communication during the install was great, I was patient as it took longer than I expected, but I knew that it would be done correctly (my experience has been, you can speed up completion with pressure, but you'll get a lower quality outcome) 4 - the install team was courteous, professional and thorough 5 - several neighbors have used Tiger as well (used to be called AltEnergy) and we've all been VERY happy I've referred them to several friends, as you need to get this done before the solar panel subsidies disappear. Remember to factor in that you'll likely have an Electric Car which can start saving you big $ versus gas (not politically active, lean conservative, but I don't like $5 gas and LOVE my wife's new EV, and as a bonus it helps the environment)

Altenergy installed my solar panels in 2016, and they are still functioning flawlessly five years later. They thoughtfully considered the aesthetics of the solar panels, and chose black to blend in with my roof. Their estimate was clear and complete, and 40% lower than my previous quote 2 years before. Altenergy is one of the best contractor experiences I have had in a long time. They were very responsive I always felt informed where we were in the project. Every day the workers would clean up the area of work and give me a quick rundown of what was accomplished next steps and gave me the opportunity to ask all sorts of questions (Thanks Chad). Micah was instrumental in keeping all the official stuff inline from proposals permitting and Idaho power net meter requests on service orders. A big plus was the time Micah spent with the final walk through making sure that we were completely satisfied with every aspect of the installation and how to use the monitoring tools and how the system in monitored to assure we have clean and efficient energy production. Before selecting Altenergy I had received quotes form some local and national competitors none of which were courteous or willing explain why their quotes were so much more for the same grade of equipment and acted put out to even be asked. I would recommend Altenergy to any of my family or friends.
