This was our first time dining at Gus’s and not only was the food absolutely scrumptious, but the customer service was superb and reminiscent of that southern charm you hear about. I can’t emphasize enough how kind and attentive every single wait staff was, and there were multiple people servicing our table throughout our entire dining experience. We felt so welcomed to be there! Now, about the food—if I could give this place 10 stars, it still wouldn’t be enough! 😋 EVERYTHING was delicious! We started with spinach dip w/ fresh chips and salsa and an order of the onion strings, and the freshness was evident in every single bite. You can tell that they make the chips in house, which were so flaky and crunchy, you can enjoy them without dipping them in a anything at all. The onion strings were so well seasoned and didn’t leave that oily residue you often see when food is cooked without allowing the oil to get hot enough first. They were sooo yummy! ☺️ we also wanted to try their grits (I know—super random…lol), which had a creamed corn flavor. Since I’m not a fan of that flavor, I didn’t favor this dish however, I’m certain others would enjoy it. My husband and son had the Gus’s burger with fries and proclaimed it to be one of the best burgers they’ve had in a while. My daughter and I had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were so light and fluffy that we didn’t feel guilt for devouring every morsel of it! Lol! The chicken though??? INCREDIBLE! I’m hard to please when it comes to restaurant fried chicken but this chicken was sooooo well seasoned and moist all the way through and cooked to perfection. It’s very difficult to find restaurant fried chicken breasts that are cooked thoroughly while maintaining the crispy skin and incredibly moist meat, but this restaurant nailed it! The chicken and waffles are served with a side of spicy watermelon, which is an added treat! The watermelon was so juicy and delicious, and the spice added a very unique twist to an old favorite. Overall, this place was slammin and my very picky family can’t wait to go back to discover more from their menu! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ambiance and service is good. Pork ribs is their specialty and it just melts in your mouth. Creamy corn is good as well. Mac and cheese can be better.

First time here. This place, in my opinion, is the best BBQ restaurant around. The food is Delicious, the service was phenomenal, The Presentation is Beautiful, and Every detail of each meal was perfect. Even the House salad was special with Fresh roasted and Candied peanuts and blue cheese crumbles. The Pulled pork sandwich is perfect, cornbread was literally fresh made, and the chicken fried steak reminded me of my grandma's from Arkansas. Except it wasn't greasy. That's a plus for me. Yummmmm. I ordered the sauce for the Pulled pork sandwich on the side. This way, you can try all Their Homemade sauces like Carolina Gold, regular, and spicy BBQ sauce. My favorite was Carolina gold. The Southern hospitality was an extremely pleasant experience along with exceptional service from Claudia. Thank you Claudia for your recommendations and friendly personality. Tonight was a belated mothers day dinner with my Mom and I'm really glad we chose to try Gus's BBQ. Its reasonably priced, but the quality and amount of the food reflects the price. $60 for 2 for dinner. no drinks. Not bad for a Full course meal with plenty of leftovers. We'll definitely be back.

It was an enjoyable experience and I think I'd go back. The chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone soft. I'm not sure it's a good representation of Memphis style BBQ but I really have no complaints.
