We recently had a flood in our home starting in our bathroom and flowing down to 5 areas of the apartment. PuroClean was contacted and started the clean-up service immediately. Ara and his crew were trustworthy and professional. They went above and beyond our expectation to help us through this difficult situation: starting from the initial clean-up, to packing and storing all the items inside the unit, the drying process, mold eradication, all the renovations that had to be done and the final move back into the home. They even were able to provide us with a cleaning crew, to assist with the final bits. I can’t think of one detail that was missed or disregarded by their team. They really know the value of time in containing damage and work diligently to stick to their agreed schedule.

Ara and his team were Quick to respond, explained everything that needed to be done in detail, scheduled the leak detection, the plumber to fix the problem and acted as my representative to deal with the insurance company which took a huge weight off my shoulders. I am a tenant and Ara was hired by my landlord to address water damage from the apartment above leaking water into our living room. Ara was very professional and communicative, thoroughly checked our apartment for water in the walls, explained exactly what to expect with the repair and drying machine running and how long the process would take. The biggest step is to be sure the bathroom has adequate ventilation. It is important to have a properly installed exhaust fan.
Food safety after a fire is a huge issue, so you should discard non-perishable food exposed to heat, smoke, and firefighting chemicals, as well as perishable food left at room temperature for too long. However, you might be able to salvage refrigerated and frozen food after a fire. You should also throw out medicines, cosmetics, and burned clothing.Inventory non-restorable items to support your claims. Be sure to include the name, cost, and the year each item was purchased. Photos documenting the loss are great too.
Water from outside the structure is contaminated and should be handled be professionals such as PuroClean. Even if the water was not from outside if it is there for an extended time then many materials will need to be removed because of the increased contamination from long-standing water. Drywall will soften and may fall, especially from ceilings. Carpet, pad and other floor coverings may need to be removed. Every situation is different! For the best, specific advice, please call your local PuroClean as soon as the damage is discovered.
