Staff is great, helpful and knowledgeable. I had Jon helping me and it made the whole process significantly easier.

The staff here are so nice! Of course it's the DMV - a state-run agency, replete with minutiae and attention to detail that verges on compulsion... but there are SO many worse locations. This office is a cozy one and onky blocks from the beach. Occasionally someone comes in who is loud, rather excitable, and not at all pleasant or considerate, but the patience of the representatives in this office just goes to show that it pays to be both prepared and a responsible adult. The manager here is AWESOME! So bring your favorite device or something scintillating to read and take advantage of your visit. The next closest office is a 90 minute drive away, at least, and your experience won't be half as nice. Trust.

Don't let the long line to get in scare you. They were quick, pleasant and easy. We got three Real CA Id's and replaced a lost driver's license in less than an hour.

I had my in person driving test today and the service I got was amazing. I got in and out of there in half an hour and and everyone was extremely polite.

Website says 12:00-1:15
Not to my knowledge
They come in the mail,to the address you put on your registration, it takes a bit so be patient...DMV has a lot of paperwork to file and even more questions to answer, so please be polite it works wonders!
Friday hour are 8am-5pm
They don't take walk ins for behind the wheel tests. Appointment only
Couple pieces of mail, birth cert and social
You're close enough to the Mendo border that I'm not sure that you need to SMOG it for bi-annual registration. Fort Bragg or Ukiah is the closest to you for SMOG.
I would like an appoint for December 27 at 2:00 pm for a written drivers license test.
I think 3 forms of identity. Birth certificate, Social security card, mail with name & physical address such as electric bill, phone etc. , a passport will also qualify as one as well as a license I believe and possibly a state id. ( photos on those to match name on birth and social may help as a 3rd form of identity) not sure on those but since they are issued by DMV you would think they would qualify.
