They are great ! We have adopted 2 dogs and have been enjoying our first one now for 14 years! And we did adopt a special needs boy 8 years ago. They are our best friends and when it comes time to leave us , we will always adopt.

These folks are amazing, kind and got me in quickly. They worked with me on a sliding scale. Can't say enough about the place and the people, just great❤️

We adopted cat for my grandson. Judy helped us. She was very kind and very gentle with the cats. They loaned us a cat carrier, gave us a little cat quilt put inside the bed. We came away very happy. It's clean and a large area for the cats to enjoy. They take good care of them.

Questions & Answers

Who would I call to get a tour for some special ed students from Fort Bragg Middle School? I'm the work-ability coordinator and would love to have some interested students visit.

Call Chuck Tourtillott at 707-964-7729. He is the director. My name is Brian, I volunteer there. Thank you for bringing the kids and these precious animals together. They can help each other.

Do they ever answer the phone?

Most days just not the weekend

When is your next spay day and how much is it for about a 55 lbs female?

They are usually booked a few weeks out. On their website, you can submit a request to schedule an appointment for spay/neuter. 10/2020: The cost would be $225 for a 55 lbs dog spay.

Two dogs were abandoned at my house, what are my options? They are both very friendly but one of them (the female) attacks my male boxer.

That is so sad but your best option is to call the humane society! They will work with them be trying to get them adopted, they are very caring and the dogs will get the attention they need. 😍

how much does it cost to spade your dog

Depends on weight, and Male or female.

The Mendocino Coast Humane Society webpage shows two different addresses for the Adoption Center: 19691 Summers Lane --- but on the Donate page, it shows 1961 Summers Lane. I suspect that the Donate page address has a typo!

It's 19691

Are you hiring? Or accepting volunteers? And what would be the requirements for this position?

I only know about Volunteering. First, you choose what position you'd like (Dog walking, cat socializing, etc.) then you go through a quick training. After that, you're ready to volunteer whenever. I come in once a week. P.S If you're under 16, you must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or a friend over 18.
