Good disabled camping, even in some non disabled sites. Good access to town, cell service works in most of the park.Nice beach walks. Some sea life on beaches if you look for it.

Beautiful campgrounds with lots of trees and wildlife just a 10 minute walk from the beach. Camp hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. Facilities were basic, but had hot water. Couldn't fit my medium size cooler in the food storage box. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the sand.

We love staying at Surfwood Campground in Mackerricher State Park. There's so many trails to hike in the area and the beach is a short walk from the campsites. A really great bike path into Fort Bragg makes a wonderful outing.

Most sites were pretty large. I would call ahead and ask them your best site to set up at. This place is exceptional.
Yes fills up fast on weekends
Not sure about the price(cousins reserved and paid for it). but it was definitely less than $50 a night. They were not strict on how may people for one campground. There were nine of us in one campground at one point.
No. There is no electricity or water at any of the sites. The only water is at designated communal spots (if you are filling an RV bring a water thief). You can see the spigot spots on the campground map online.

They have shower coins for sale - 4 for $1 :) each coin is good for 5 minutes. They prefer you use the coins rather than the quarters
