Yep a cool park. Smaller and more spread out along the little river/fern valley, a couple of camping spots here, then some road. Then a few more clumped together, etc. Not to close to other camp sites. Then up on the hill there a larger meadow with quite a few sites but maybe not for large rigs, there's a small bridge and tight turning. The hike along fern valley creek is wide and flat so access for limited mobility.

Loved the state park! It had a great combination of water trees perfect temperature and beautiful surroundings in every direction. It wasn’t busy there were not any parking issues we were able to go just about anywhere we wanted with ease I would definitely recommend this location if you were wanting to visit the scenic Pacific west coast.

Nice little beach. We didn't stay long but the time we spent there was magnificent. The water, rocks, near by Cliffs and wildlife are in just peaceful harmony. We could sit there for hours.

One of the best campgrounds on the California Coast!! Well maintained with clean restrooms and BIG showers (bring quarters) Small beach directly across Highway 1 at the entrance gate to the park/campground. Make your reservations way ahead of time!!! Van Damme is loved by many!! Hope this helps...
