Great place for a walk in nature and bird watching. It is mainly native plants. There are eucalyptus trees that were planted over a hundred years ago. The preserve is approximately 40 acres with access to the levee trail that is several miles long.

Exciting for those looking specifically for birds and wild plants. I don’t recommend it to someone who wants to sit and relax and enjoy the nature- for it doesn’t have much areas to sit on and the very few logs it has are open in the sun...I guess comfort of animals have been prioritized over humans. As they say... go with an expectation to find a rustic park. Also it’s not a big park. It’s quite small compared to other parks.

Nice place in the middle of an urban area. There is also a stream with water, which means there is always going to be lots of birds around. This place is full of various sounds of birds all around. Definitely a fun place to enjoy evening walks. Some of the trails are a bit rocky so may not be friendly for you bike tires. Overall, a great place if you are local to the South Bay area near San Jose.

Discovered this place a while back but never stopped to actually take a look at what was behind the entrance. Nice place to get out and get some steps and catch the sun coming up or going down. I listed closer to sunset in the evening and it looks like a great place to take a nice walk and enjoy the peace and quiet. I will definitely be back to figure out what else this relaxing environment has to offer.
