As of 2020 came here for surgery for our dog, almost 8K and about 200.00 for each visit and always always have a long waiting time to see the Doctor I don't understand why we have to wait so long. When the doctor only sees us for 10 minutes. We're paying a lot of money they could get us in a lot faster. Total time 2 hours from the time we pull in to the time we leave

Not a perfect experience, partially due to Covid protocols, but we experienced a couple of disappointing occurrences. Had pup in for entropion surgery that cost over $5k. (Research showed average high-end cost for this surgery would be much less.)I thought it would be okay since our pup is a chow chow with a scrunchy-faced anatomy. Figured a specialist is the only way to go. To make long story short: 1) they charged us for meds they didnt give us when we left & pup needed, so we had to pick up at local pharmacy (we do not live close to this facility, so it was an inconvenience. ) 2) one of pup’s eye developed an ulcer on it due to the sutures rubbing it. She was very uncomfortable for weeks. We were told to increase drops & they would see her at follow-up appointment. They removed stitches and didn’t even check to see she had an ulcer on her eye. Sent emails and left messages and got no response. Ended up having to take pup to local vet to address & only then it started clearing up. Pup may have a permanent scar on her eye now. Thank goodness it shouldn’t affect her vision & she shouldn't feel it but it is a white cloudy spot on eye. Perhaps if they addressed this when I asked several times it may not have not happened? I do not know but Vet did apologize. Overall, we are grateful that the eyelids are not rubbing anymore thanks to the surgery but the communication feels so stand-offish when you call and have to leave message on voicemail if you have a question & wait days for a tech to tell you to send email & then not hear back. Makes you wonder if vet even knows what your concerns are. Wish they would let you in their office. We can get into grocery stores and doctors’ offfices but cannot go in to speak to the doctor who is cutting on our babies :(

Dr Hoffman just personally gave me the BEST Christmas present I have received in my 43 years of life: my young pup now has vision on both eyes! I'm so grateful and she and her entire retinal team are such blessings. Long story short. Our young pup suddenly turned blind. My vet originally referred me to Dr Hoffman, but I made the mistake of reviewing Yelp review on Eye Care for Animals prior to coming. So I went with other eye clinic instead. That other clinic determines that she can have surgery but only on one eye because the other eye has retinal detachment. Upon inquiry, I was told that only Eye Care for Animals Pasadena can do retinal surgery but my original eye doctor wouldn't recommend it due to low success rate. I'm glad I didn't listen. Turns out, Dr Hoffman also uses the laser procedure/therapy to prevent future retinal detachment. I learned that this laser therapy is something that other eye clinics typically do not have when they perform eye surgery. (I'm grateful that my other eye doctor was candidate about it when I asked). Then, Dr Hoffman's team fit us in on short notice. My 4 year old pup now has vision on both eyes. Words can not describe how grateful I feel. I wish I had listened to my regular vet and took her here at first instead of trying another eye clinic (that would have saved us a couple thousands + the heartache of waiting). But I'm grateful it worked out in the end and that everything happens for a reason. Dr Hoffman, if you are reading this I want you to know (again) you are absolutely a blessing in this world. May you always have health and happiness! Thank you for giving my pup the chance to see the sun and my kids' smiling faces again!

They did an amazing job on our sweet girl, Sally. She had multiple corneal ulcers when we adopted her, and they were able to improve her sight and quality of living significantly through surgery. Check out the before/after of her left eye.
