Great little bagel shop on Beverly St. Lots of traditional choices from capers to lox to eggs and a multitude of pretty good bagels. Hopefully you’ll be greeted by the friendly Marlena, an energizer bunny who keeps the place humming.

Customer Service is not their top priority. Ordered a simple bagel sandwich and waited over 15 minutes and they kept ignoring my question as were was my order. I just left without my order since I was late for work. . NEVER going back

I must admit I used to just tolerate bagels - wasn't a huge fan, but still ate them from time to time. Then I ate one at Brooklyn Bagel and became a fan. This is one of the essential go-to spots for Beverly Hills locals, on South Beverly and away from the tourist crowds. I even had the pleasure of eating at Larry King's table one morning while pitching various TV ideas to him. Larry owns the place you see. Suddenly I realized I was sitting across from the man who has probably interviewed more famous people than anyone else in broadcast history. I mean he had the last interview with the Chairman himself Frank Sinatra! He asked me, "Do you know Les Moonves?" I replied, "Are you kidding? I don't even know Larry King!" Anyway, Larry is one of our favorite local denizens who is a very engaged member of the community. The moral of the story is , stay local, eat a bagel and have some coffee at Brooklyn Water Bagel. And get to know Larry - he's the man (king) with the bagels (and muffins).

They sell really good bagels! However the first time it was $8+ and two days later, $6+. It was egg and cheese sandwich. First bagel was garlic sesame and the second one was whole wheat. Not sure if it was computer error the first bagel was $2 more.
