Beautiful place for Art lover. I could only visit two floors, rest two were undergoing renovation. The ceramic section was wonderful.

Wonderful museum/gallery. Glad we made a visit. Interesting exhibits and loved the special exhibits in basement. If you are in Syracuse, def worth the visit.

The art and architecture are fabulous, and the personnel was knowledge and friendly. Altogether a wonderful visit

We had such a lovely visit! Every time we visit my family we stop by to take in the fantastic architecture and wonderful art. If not for the oddly trailing second floor security guy - don't remember being trailed conspicuously and creepily last time we visited - everything was great. Even my toddler really got caught up in the ethereal, surreal qualities of the architecture and space.

There is also a parking lot across the street from the Everson. I believe parking is $5 and supervised.

do you offer any inclusion art classes? I mentor a young adult male who is interested in drawing and painting and could easily handle a regular art class, but he would like to be with other similarly challenged people.

They offer classes at a cost. They are open to a wide scope of ability levels but not sure if any are specifically just individuals with special needs.

Is there a cafe at this museum you can buy lunch from or do they only have food during functions ? I've never been here so I was just wondering.

There are very good restaurants within walking distance. It's worth making an afternoon museum trip with dinner afterwards.

Check their website.

Is there an admission charge? Do you need to book?

Andy Salmon | Sep 8, 2018
Kyessa Byron Moore Thomas | Sep 8, 2018

Yes to the fee mentioned by the other respondents. But if you are a member of a partner museum - like the Museum of Natural History in NYC - then your admission is free thanks to museum partnerships they have. So if you are a member of a museum elsewhere ask at the desk when you go to pay if they are part of the same partnership.

How often do they change exhibits? Would it be pointless to go multiple times in one year?

Amy McC | Sep 8, 2018

They try to change exhibits every 3 months. Sometimes even more. They have been mixing it up a lot more lately. I go several times a year. They also do stuff in collaboration with SU.
