Amazed I am an existing patient, called because I have a severe back pain today. No emergency appointments available and only opening was for a month from today 3/24/22. So I ended up without access to medication or treatment. Hope you feel better was end of my request. This means that if I am dying of pain I have no access to my Dr. And ER is my only option. Extremely disappointed of low quality patient service received over the phone. There should be emergency appointment available for this unexpected pain conditions

Dr Lustgarten is the most trusted professional pain management anesthesiologist that has always provided phenomenal care both in office, outpatient and inpatient procedures. I rely on his team to alleviate my chronic back pain which heightens during chronic illness hospitalizations. His careful review and treatment of symptoms for either maintenance or crisis is stupendous along with his hospitalist Kathleen and nurse practitioner Caryn. The entire office staff is extremely diligent professional and polite as is his entire team and the pain clinic. I can personally say I know each and every member who is phenomenal and cares for me like family in the pain clinic and the office as well. I am constantly recommending people struggling with their back health to Dr. Lustgarten en who will seek conservative methods of pain treatment before considering more invasive options that may be necessary. Thanks to Dr. Lustgarten I went through the pain pump trial and qualified and the process was seamless due to the office efficiency. Thank you Dr Lustgarten and to Kathleen for always taking such good care of me during maintenance and crisis . I truly feel blessed beyond measure and trust him with my life.

While Dr. Lustgarten and Caryn Baldwin are absolutely great their office staff is the absolute worst. They have a horrible attitude. When you call and leave a message don’t expect a call back without leaving multiple messages. Then when they do call you, their tone is as if they couldn’t be bothered. I called a week ago to request a follow up and was told I would get a call back. A week later I call back and the lady who answered was horrible as usual. She said she thinks remembering speaking with me then went through the Dr.s notes and told me I need a follow up to schedule my next shot. I told her I knew I needed one and it was the reason for my call last week. She must’ve been upset about me calling her out on her failing to do her job because she told me “do you want the appointment or not because we’re just going back and forth. At that point I asked her what her problem is because the people who call that office are in pain and are they for pain management and their lack of compassion doesn’t help. I was irate by her couldn’t care less attitude and decided to hang up. Well, after close to 10 years of being with Dr Lustgarten I’ve decided to seek my pain management somewhere else because we deal with enough pain physically that we shouldn’t have to deal with it mentally.
