This trail is very pleasant. Perfect for a nice moderate hike of about three hours. Some reviews mention traffic noise but most of the trail is quiet. Even on a Sunday morning in spring there was little foot or bike traffic

The trails were fun. Diverse terrain and we were able to get a good distance in (9 miles). The fall is great because the foliage is sparse so no worry about ticks. But we did get our catalytic converter stolen while on the hike. Unfortunate for the area that this is a common occurrence here.

Beautiful trail, however our car along with 7 others were broken into while everyone was out hiking on the trails.

This place is in the midst of Kansas City yet makes you feel like you are out in the wilderness. I love nature and hiking and camping so I sort of dislike bringing attention I places like this so that it doesn’t get bombarded and destroyed but this place is in the middle of Kansas City... it’s still beautiful and I was delighted to go out here one very cold morning last month.. or earlier this month I decided to come out here to take some self portraits to send to my boyfriend since he is deployed. I truly was having the time of my life just taking photo in the beautiful fall foliage.. I even saw deer.. you can still hear traffic around you which reminds you that you are still indeed in the city but still a great getaway if you don’t have time to drive a little further to a state park.
