A Snails Pace is the best place around to find the perfect pair of shoes for walking or running. The customer service was top-notch, as Stephen spent a good amount of time measuring my feet and evaluating my gait to find the shoes that would meet my needs. I left knowing that I made a good purchase, and will definitely return to buy my next pair. Outstanding store!

Went in to replace my Brooks running shoes and had a great time with the salesperson talking about shoes, trail running, and backpacking. Every time I am in to the Brea shop I leave feeling more informed and I trust the knowledge of the staff when helping me find shoes for my unusual feet. Love all the gear and training equipment they sell, too.

It has been over a decade since I was last fitted for running shoes, and my body has changed considerably since then, and I suspected my stride as well. I had been through several fitness trends including Crossfit, POSE method and barefoot running, my joints were worse for it, and I haven't been able to run consistently as a result. Heavy lifting without accompanying cardio hasn't been good to me. After spending hundreds of dollars on different knee braces and destroying my stomach with NSAID's, I figured maybe it was time to revisit my choice in footwear. I looked up running stores and A Snail's Pace was nearby and had just what I was looking for: a full map of my foot, video of my stride, and knowledgeable staff to help me find just the right shoe for me. Denie ("like the restaurant") took great care of me. I came to find out that my feet had changed significantly, and I went from significantly underpronating to mildly overpronating and needed a well-cushioned shoe with a little support. After the tests, Denie brought out a few different sets for me to try. Honestly though, her first recommendation - a set of Brooks - was right on the money. I tied to talk myself into a couple other brands I was more familiar with, but the Brooks were just so comfortable that I kept coming back to them. They checked all the right boxes and my joints had no complaints! Ultimately, the shoes weren't cheap and not what i would have chosen on my own, but they were exactly what I needed. Thanks to Denie and A Snail's Pace for getting me back on track!

Excellent customer service from knowledge staff is why this place has all these awards. Despite being busy, they give ample time and education to each customer on what options might be a good fit and every one leaves the store happy. I picked up shoes here the other day and got to experience the difference in shoe types with my own feet and ended up with a much happier purchase than I could have expected from online research alone. Highly recommended for athletes, excellent customer experience every time I'm in store, will likely buy all my shoes here
