Mostly only one person in particular is very rude. Short curly haired lady who cooks is always rude. She has been repeatedly rude for the last three years. She always pops out the back yelling at people for whatever reason. She just seems unhappy and doesn't seem like she cares. But I do want to give a good review for the taller gentleman with a shaved head who is always nice and he also does a great job of keeping the peace when people start to get upset. He once told me how he rides the bus for 2 hours or so to the soup kitchen and 2-3 hours home to help volunteer. I do appreciate everyone's efforts and all they do for everyone. I really hope that lady finds her inner peace and calms down someday it's not good for her to always be so cranky

Incredible group of people running this operation! I'd like to give a shout-out especially, to Kim and Craig, who run the show on the weekends! Notwithstanding, the "Magical Chef"... Lori Sanchez, deserves recognition for preparing the most amazing meals day-in and day-out!! She is, without a doubt, a most talented cook! Her soups and stews are out of this world! I love the people and the atmosphere but most of all, I love the food!!

I myself never inquired about what is the requirements
Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only two days that the soup kitchen is closed. The reason is that there are plenty of other outfits hosting meals on those days and those days alone....
Yes, and bless all the outside volunteers that take the time outside of their week to help out... and of course the donors.
They are serving noon to 3 p.m.
M-F they start serving at noon and usually stop serving at 2p. Sat & Sun They open their doors at approximately 9a and usually serve until 11a. There's usually at least bread for taking "home" while the doors are open. Clothing distribution only happens when they have clothing to give. SOS on Superior and W. 16th is a good place to get a bag of food M-F.
Yes, 16 year or older
No bebe the hours to volunteer m-f are 9-12 or 12-4 weekend 730 am to noon .
Last time I was told it was 16. I'd call in advance just to confirm.
