Got sent here like 3 years ago by my GD, she even called ahead to let them know i was coming, i was suffering horrible benzo withdrawals and tremors they made me wait almost 4 hours in a cold waiting room, i kept checking in on the front and no professional came out to help. I left and endured a whole month cold turkey.

One of the worse places. My son was admitted there and he suffers from a mental illness and drug addiction. He had an episode there and they kicked my son out in the streets. He was not well and it wasn’t safe for him. This is one of the most unprofessional places when my son needed help and they put my son in danger. I seriously don’t recommend them at all. I gave them one star and they shouldn’t have gotten any.

I have worked with Sam and Dr. Jo, in the out patient program. Wow, What a dynamic team! Let me tell you that I have learned so many skills and gained the tools to keep my psychological health healthy! I am so happy to have this outstanding team supporting me through such a challenging time. The group sessions a re filled with some much love and encouragement. I am so blessed to have found the Tarzana Treatment Center.

For detox, everyday Monday-Friday 5:30pm-6:30pm. Saturday/Sunday 1:30pm-2:30 pm. For Residental it’s every Saturday and Sunday I believe sometime around 3-5pm but I could be wrong on the times exactly. I just know those visits are able to be 3-4 hours long. Hope that helps ya!

We’re you open to going to other locations? I know I made the mistake now that I’m out of not being open to any other location just because I wasn’t thinking rationally or in the future (as we addicts tend to do especially so early in recovery). I never saw them in my whole 10 day detox, just not give someone any options at all for residential beds...as long as they were not a threat to others or themselves. I’m Only curious simply because Im hoping you were able to still find the help us addicts need to get better! Stay well.
There usually is. It's a busy place , so your best bet would be to go to the center yourself and ask about availability. See if you can talk to someone directly about getting on the waiting list and make sure to ask how long it is. Good luck!
No
no phones allowed they have a pay phone bring quarters.
Yes, just go and try to get in residential. If they have a bed available, then you can get in. If not then keep trying the next day.
You can't a violation of the HIPAA laws unless they put your name down on a relice of information with your name on it.
Visits are allowed for patients at any time as long as they consent to the visit. There are very few exceptions, which are based on patient safety.
Yes, they do. Medi-Cal will also cover Detox for the 7days, and then you can stay for the rehabilitation 30, 60, or 90 days.
Residential treatment is at our facilities, and outpatient treatment is for patients that remain in their home living environment and attend regularly scheduled counseling sessions at our facilities. Inpatient treatment is a controlled environment mainly used for medical detoxification. You can get more details on the Services page our website: https://www.tarzanatc.org/services/
Yes, you can send a letter. Just call Tarzan and ask where to send it. I remember when I was there... They would give the letters out during group.
I think the number provided on the website. If not I have one but I need to get off this site and get it I'll send it to you on Facebook or try and see if I can send it here
Bring shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brush, and all those essentials. Bring a few changes, and bring alot of faith. It will be a battle, but you can do it. Stay strong!
Dose anyone know the payphone numbers in de
You need to ask the patient if they're in detox west or east or residential west or east. Then make it out to patient name, (detox/residential east/west) followed by the address
There isn't a stated limit but if its ridiculous they might say something (think 10 or more)
A good rule of thumb is to pack what you would for a long weekend trip. Your admissions counselor can give you a specific list. If it hasn't already been provided, they will go over it during the admissions process. Individuals that accompany the patient to admissions can bring a second bag to bring home if anything is disallowed. A search will be conducted upon admission to the inpatient unit, and any other disallowed items will be locked up securely and returned upon discharge. Most items for personal hygiene are provided on the unit. For residential treatment, more clothes and hygiene items are allowed. The patient will be informed about those rules prior to discharge from inpatient treatment. Here are a couple of good articles to help you understand the experience: https://www.tarzanatc.org/services/the-tarzana-treatment-centers-detox-experience/ https://www.tarzanatc.org/services/the-tarzana-treatment-centers-residential-experience/
They usually have a wait list so I would check with them about available times. Expect to wait a little to be honest but sometimes they can find a spot for you if you keep trying. I found talking to someone in person on-site was much better to find the right people to talk to than over the phone. I got so much more help during one quick visit about questions I had about the place than multiple phone calls. Best of luck to you.
That depends on the services needed for each individual. For substance use, it can range from a short detox to several months. We also have outpatient services for substance use and mental health. The best way to know is to call us and get assessed.
Yes. We accept these as well as many other forms of payment.
It depends if they have beds available I had to wait 2 months but it absolutely changed my life in 2007
They will absolutely make sure to assist you with your court requirements. You Just need to be completely honest and up front when they ask if you’re on probation/parole so that they can ensure that you get everything taken care of for that. Good luck! :)
