Very clean and simple accomodation. It is right across the temple, right above the restaurant and a 10 minute walk away from the Palace of Gold. Bathrooms are common but there are plenty and they are cleaned frequently.

I stay at really nice places, and I enjoyed this. Its a spiritual place, and its simpler that what most of us are used to. If you think this is a Mariott, you'll be disappointed. I had a two bed private room. There are no TVs and the religion does not 'do coffee'. It has WIFI that works, and I liked the quiet. The room was clean, the people were wonderful. Really wonderful. There is a little bit of a language gap and things don't work like a Mariott, but for what it is, its really nice. Id encourage you to have this experience. I'm going back in a few weeks to get a cabin. I'd suggest three full days (2-3 nights) to visit the golden palace, attend ceremonies, and attend the yoga workshops (I strongly suggest you enroll in the program and pay for extras like the bhakti yoga). Although they are Hare Krishnas, they don't overload you with it. They are polite. Its OK to chant as a Christian... they just want you to chant. Great experience.
