Easy loop trails, lots of wild birds, hardly any hikers during the week, clean ( so 🙏 please) pick up after yourself and your dog.

It was fun in the snow. We went early morning and the snow was still firm, but by the way back is started to get slushy. Can't wait to go back and hike in the mid spring.

It was a beautiful place. When visiting Frazier Park you must drive up to Mt. Pinos hiking trail. It's a beautiful spot with all the pine tree.

If you come for star gazing, you will think (and might be) the only one driving down the windy road here. Best time to reach is around 10PM. Good chance you will also end up in the parking lot with other RV's and people chatting or drinking, but if you can find your corner and stare at the cosmos nothing like it! One of the better spots! I went to Red Rock for star gazing near Mojave but I think I enjoyed the sky here more that day.

Well yesterday 12/27/20 chains were not required. But im not sure if they are today since there was a snow storm happening overnight. Im sure that before you start your way up to mount pinos there will be a sign stating if you need them or not. I hope this helps.
